I used to live in Peru. They would steal car mirrors, headlights, windshield wipers, anything and everything. You could go to an area of Lima and buy stolen replacements. Whenever you parked on the street you had to remove all these things and hide them somewhere and leave the glove box open so thugs would know there was nothing inside. It’s like that in a lot of countries.
I've been in Almaty city a couple of times during the past few years. It's a very calm city. Accidents like this are very seldom. Very seldom.Tragically and ironically, If memory serves, one of the knocks against the Almaty bid was that crime was a very large problem.

For him to be betrayed twice in his final moments- first by vandalism, then the physical attack -is heartbreaking. I can't imagine what he must have felt yesterday. Poor, sweet Denis :sad21:
