From a thread in another site "German TV commentator Daniel Weiss is on a half-joking, half-serious campaign for the name "Vasiļjevs spin". He has talked about this repeatedly over the past few years, and he keeps mentioning something that he claims Deniss has invented.

During the short program, he said: "And this spin should be renamed 'Vasiļjevs'. I think this should be part of the standard repertoire in figure skating, because only he does it, and he invented it this way."

(Where do I sign the petition to rename the spin the Vasiljevs?????)
