Deniss Vasiljevs

Surely it is a good news, any shows in Japan come with a hefty pay packet, which he needs. But if he has to skip the only opportunity of the season to skate in front of the home fans, it's really sad. Wish they could have scheduled the competition more carefully.

Yes, I think the Latvian fed is grateful that he has opportunities to earn money, but it's also a pity when their #1 star can't be at Nationals. I certainly wouldn't expect them to try to rearrange things just for one skater...so many things have to be planned well in advance.

Of course, the fact that he is invited to COI is simply wonderful! Japanese love him, and the money will be so very useful.:hap10:

But this good news makes me and other fans veeeery sad! Last year it was such a thrilling adventure! :sad4:

So,the Latvian Skating association, this is what I mean :furious: :angry1:

But this will probably give him the chance to be in Latvia during Christmas time together with his family at least this year!:)

Probably not, because Palladium is announcing Magic Circus on Ice 27 Dec. "Avec la participation de Stéphane Lambiel". "Acrobaties, performances dans les airs, magie... Un spectacle sur glace époustouflant nous attend ! Les membres du show sont tous des athlètes de renom, dont Stéphane Lambiel qui nous fera le plaisir d'être présent avec les jeunes de son école de patinage.

Maybe, which is very likely, Deniss will be there. :rolleye:

Well, I don't know how Latvians generally celebrate, but he could go home for the 24th-25th and be back in time for a rehearsal day. It's not a terribly long flight.

We celebrate as everywhere in Europe, but it's also an option. I'm just thinking about his duties at the university!? But as the Latvian proverb says-let's not run the horse ahead. Christmas will be here very soon!!

And now I'm dying to know "Swiss camping confidential story" by Mie Hamada as it sounds like a bunch of spicy gossips

I can understand a very little bit....which make me even more curious about it.....

Deniss and Jackie Schmidt are at it again! https://twitter.com/discojunhwan/status/1057395146784997377 (originally from Celine Sonzogni's instagram)
Deniss made the black forest gateau, Jackie made the pumpkin pie :) What a yummy way to celebrate Halloween!

A very kind fan translated a bit of what Mie Hamada said in the interview

 Not surprised to hear Stephane is a bit soft on Deniss. But I think it's better that way. I don't think Deniss would work well with a really strict coach. I think he's the kind of person who needs to be guided more than pushed. Wish she would've said what it was she scolded Deniss for though...
