I just saw (I watched live via youtube) a replay on German Eurosport with those two .... of commentators and I just know why I can't watch there.
They either talk nonsense or bash skaters they don't understand.
One of them is Deniss. They constantly mentioned he was overscored, got his cristmas present already and that his scores don't relate to those of the skaters around him. (Like quad = better human 🤯 )

Just awful.

Wonderful press conference they had 🤣

That's really low! With how some skaters have really been overscored in the past, and nobody dared to mention it, while Deniss has never been overscored to my knowledge (many think that he deserved Gold at last Europeans, or at least Silver, but Tech Panel preferred to blink just when another skater deserved calls)...
There's a deservedly popular (4 millions views) Short Program of Yuzuru Hanyu's very well commented on Sportschau, even people who don't understand German appreciate it. I hope you can watch this Deniss' Short Program on Sportschau (with the same commentator), and I hope nobody unknowing will watch this on Eurosport.

I actually did not know or do not if ARD (German 1st free TV channel) who have the magazine "Sportschau" broadcast Euros at all this time.
Maybe I'll find someting and if I do, I hope it's not geo-blocked.

edit: ah yes, they have streams and live TV broadcast via "ONE", a smaller channel in their portfolio.
They have Pairs SP as replay online (but it won't load for me) and as far as I can see, Men will get a summary tomorrow or something 🤨 The kids have to got to bed it seems.

The saddest is that if you look at the rules, it's pretty well balanced between jumps base value, other elements and components.
The problem isn't with the rules (although they have been worsened at last ISU congress, with a vote management that should led federation to contest the vote by the way), but with the violation of them.
Sorry for this out-of-topic rant.
 
Yes, so in protocols we can now see that at the point where they had put in the X live, the ChSq got removed - cause it was never performed that late! They just got the planned content wrong and missed the real ChSq (now added on 4 but also with 0.00) and then in the end missed the ChSq and thought it was part of the StSq. And then of course it would have been too short (a reason to set it unvalid).

Now there's two lines with 0.00 as they removed the "wrong ChSq" towards the end and added a line where it was performed, but as they did not judge it then (?), they could not add a value (?).

All very weird. Maybe it's completely different from what I guess here, but I hope they can discuss it to prevent it will happen again and to find out what the issue was and why the IJS got confused (?).

They should have plenty of time cause Deniss will skate in the Gala tomorrow 🤩

(I now have watched SP and FP each 3 times, the third time with the different german commentating - I could not rewatch SCI for example, but here I have no problem. So this also shows that it's not so bad overall and fifth is still a great achievement. I'm not as heartbroken as I thought I would be. I think he could peak for Worlds 🤞. And I like their analysis. It'll be alright, maybe already when the Gala starts :ghug:)
