I think Deniss has a following in France. He trained their as a novice skater and speaks fluent French.

I think that normally in Champéry classes are held in English, but it's in French-speaking Switzerland; and even, in Winter, when the ski resorts are open, one can cross the French border on skis from Champéry! So, he's in immersion in a French-speaking place. And French and English have many common words, just not always written/pronounced the same.
Anyway let's hope that French federation will follow public's preferences.

I was shocked that he got SA again - I didn't think most skaters got assigned the same place 2x in a row. Texas is certainly not my favorite location, but I see another SA in my future!

Didn't realize that he is still choosing between Bayadere and Lion King. I was looking forward to Bayadere, but he skated his Lion King with such passion at Worlds that I could see why he would go with L.K. I guess it's a wait and see thing now?
