According to http://www.sport-express.ru/art.shtml?151549 Max need another surgery on his knee. They are planning to do it next week and he can start training in the mid of January. So they will miss RN and Euro, but planning to be ready for WC. Very unlucky season for him with all the injuries. Actually he was already injured in Torino and skated through pain.

That would be K&O over again. It did lead to a lot more suspense for the rest of the quadrennium.
Or she could try getting a new partner. That wouldn't be easy, but it could be done. If all fails, she could try ringing her boyfriend up(Is she still with Kostamarov?)
Who are K&O? I don't follow ice dance. Are they the second ranking Russian pair? Well, at least they are not boring. If ISU is determined to give gold to a Russian pair, give it a K&O...

too bad for them. I guess they will be given a bye to worlds? I like this team this year, I enjoy thier freedance athough i dont get all the fuss about the OD. Too bad they won't be missing worlds too. (i know that sonds mean, but Beblin and Agosto should be an easy win without them).

I was wondering why he was grimacing instead of smiling in the Kiss and Cry at the GPF, skating with an injury will do that. Is this third surgery on the same knee? I hope he is recovered by Worlds otherwise D/S and B/A fans wont' have much to bicker about. lol. Seriously though I wish him well.
Demarinis, this surgery is for the other knee. The second surgery was for appendicitis - obviously not related to his knees at all.
Regardless of how you feel about a skater, acting like you are over an injury is incredibly rude.

This is a bummer for them. Knee problems are the worst. Hope he can pull it together by Gothenberg.

Aww man. What a bummer. Hopefully Max will be well by Worlds at least. Poor baby has had so many injuries to deal with this season. I was happy that they won the Grand Prix Final however, they totally deserved it. Russian Nationals could be interesting without them... I am DYING to see Mikhailova and Maximishin skate, suspense is killing me... I loved them both in their former partnerships...

I am very sad for him. I think he's a terrific skater. I hope his surgery is successful and that his pain is alleviated.

I am not a fan of their free dance, but she is one of the best female ice dancers and he can certainly improve when he gets well, so I hope he gets well soon and isn't forced to retire.
