Wasn't their fan back then. By the way, do you happen to have video of their original version of 'Man with a harmonica' dance without 'Tosca fantasy'? I remember watching it, but can't find it now. That's the best FD under CoP system for my taste. I was absolutely shocked, when I saw it live.

I think they've improved a lot since then though... it is actually really interesting to look at old videos of teams that have been together for a long time because sometimes the improvements are just shocking when you see them!I don't but I will keep my eye out for it

I don't remember, it probably wasn't even competition. Maybe practice?
And yes, it's always interesting to compare skaters with their old selves.

And man...it is fun to see how they've evolved over the years...I'm really glad they went to Zhulin cause while their old coach was great at giving them the basics...man...the posture Katia had back then....was why it took me a while for me to become a fan.

I'm absolutely positively sure that if they skated last they would get around the same score as the Shibs! It's really hard to reestablish themself, but with consistent clean skates their Pcs and GOE will rise
That was a very good skate today, I'm totally satisfied. I'm sure they will beat Hubbel/Donohue if they will skate clean tomorrow. It's all in their arms, I'm hoping for maybe 100+ score tomorrow))

Me too. I don't care what they will get, júst enough for a silver is great enough for me. I would love to see them with a score of 100+ because it would really make a good case for them in russian ID. And they are virtually tied with H/D so it's really on their hands in the FD, not to talk about how they will be skating in the last group, so that can only help them.
But I just want to see them shining in there and doing their best.

Yeah it's really unfortunate that they have had to skate in the first group for both short dances as it hinders their PCS (which are still good) and to some extent GOE as well. But hopefully they can get to the GPF anyway.

They changed some transitions in their FD after Skate Canada. Dima thinks that now their FD looks like monolit, not just set of elements collected together. Katia hopes spectators will follow the story of their FD, not will just look at the elements. It's very important to them. They worked a lot these past two weeks, every day, despite that Katia was ill for one week, and then Dima was ill for the other week. They worked a lot on their lifts and steps and turns. They're hoping to skate clean tomorrow. I hope so too!
