They say it's a part of their new FD. I quite like it.
It's 2nd of September. And this video can't show you a real speed, it's not stationary.
I'm also 100% sure that the costumes are not final, I don't even get why are you talking about them now.
To me he is too dressed and she is too undressed.
It's a strong dance. And I don't think 'comeback' is the right word for them this season. Their comeback was last season, and despite skating to bad cut warhorse music in SD they managed to stay Russian #1 team, to qualify to GPF and to medal at Euros while beating Cappellini/Lanotte in the FD.
This year they will continue to prove their strength and toughness, just wait and see. You can't kill real talent.
Edit: I don't like the music for their SD, but then again, I don't like blues overall (and swing for that matter), so that may be it.

True, it's difficult to tell on videos how fast the skaters are so we will have to wait and hear from people at the Russian test skates
I've heard that that is definitely Bobrova's final costume.
You can also see it has been very carefully designed with the rhinestones on the bra etc.
I doubt she'd go to all that trouble for a gala
Last season she changed her SD outfit thrice, so I wouldn't be so sure

Right... If they want to keep their nr.1 placement in Russia that is one goal and it's a minor one. I think they need to have a stronger target- top 3 at Worlds because frankly nr.1 in Russia will not ensure them any help on top events from judges. The field is very competitive right now and great technique shoud be paired with a very strong choreo and performance too. A program that will stand out would be a great tool to achieve that target. IMHO, of course.

And I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about last season situation, where they clearly didn't have that much support from the Fed and still managed to be #1. Real talent always wins.

on topic of BS I as I learned last year we cant really judge by early showing & esp show showings
I still remember how many ppl thought & called AK boring & then at the end of the season enamored by it
BS has clear advantage in skills among our teams (politiking Imo IZ has Shpilband now so idk who's more powerful in this aspect) so the season can be unpredictable
As for the outfit I liked it Katia is super attractive & in this outfit even more alluring

Last season was a toungh one for them and they still managed to success, I'm sure this eason they will continue to improve, they're not stanting from the scratch this time. This season even #2 in Europe will most probably end up outside of podium at Worlds. As for stand out dances, you're correct. But stand out dances are not always successful, look at some stand out SDs from last season. Anyway, it's too early. Last season two top teams completely changed their SDs (Chock/Bates even more than once) before GP season even started. And this dance, IMO, doesn't need to be completely changed, but some touches here and there would be nice. And I hate the music, honestly

I also remember how many people (me included) were amazed by 'Frida' after test skates. And look how all of that turned out.

And to add to this point, it doesn't really matters much if it's a stand out or not, only if it's according to the rules and well executed. There's people still moaning about programs from last season that were never "appreciated" enough, while some teams like B/S just worked their butts off to compete well, and were rewarded for it.
