Isn't Milan CET? If so I think it's actually at 8:30 am but I could be mistaken. Of course this is unlikely to eliminate the work issue...
Last year the judges were fair with P/C FD I really hope that IZ will make a difference this year with Frida.
I'm 1 1/2 hour away from Milan, so I'll most probably be in the office at 09:00 am. :disapp: At least I can watch the FD. That's what I'm hoping too.
It is very reassuring to see a consensus that IZ have the most technically demanding and intricate programs and should win if they skate fast and clean (the fact that their programs are the most interesting and are presented in the most inspired manner should be obvious to any unprejudiced observer IMO), but regrading PC's victories last year, I've been wondering all this time: were they really the best, or their being no. 1 in the country whose fed's president seems poised to become the next head of ISU played a part? I'm just asking - I don't really know. It seems like I'm the only fs fan in the world who didn't like PC's FD (although I liked their SD a lot), but that's a matter of taste, I suppose. I just have never seen such a jump in places in ID ever, not even remotely close, and I wonder if they had really improved by that much.Yep I/Z has a challenging GP, but so are C/L and C/B. Today I rewatched their Frida several times ( and their SD and Carmen for pleasure) even without the sound just to reasure myself that their skate is the best. Then i watched C/B FD and honestly Frida has so much more details and difficulties that if in fast clean skate I/Z does not take the gold I will eat myself. Last year the judges were fair with P/C FD I really hope that IZ will make a difference this year with Frida. And above all this if they skate clean and does not take gold or silver then the judges know nothing![]()
That's not real - that's unreal! And they say that skaters make sacrifices for their sportI have to get up at 0230 am and then stay up and go to work for 14 hours! My dedication is real...lol

I think they deserved the win last season. They had the best FD by far and they skated it very well. I think the judges really loved it regardless of their president and I'm glad they went for it.
They improved, but not by THAT much. Gabriella's skating skills improved, and before last season their programs were a bit too empty in terms of transitions, but their speed and flow across the ice was already better than many teams who placed above them in competitions (in their first senior season), and their elements were not worse than when they won Worlds (I mean lifts and spins - I don't understand enough about steps and their levels to really tell how good they were). Many who knew P/C as juniors expected them to take over Carron/Jones when they became seniors. But it's very rare when a freshly out of juniors team takes over a more established team from the same country in their first senior season, and it didn't happen in this case either. Which also meant that, beside being just out of juniors, P/C were officially only the French number three team that season which led to some underscoring and lower placements than they would have deserved for how good they really were. In short, I think it's not so much about P/C being overscored last season, as about them being underscored the season before that. I wonder why so few people think about that.I just have never seen such a jump in places in ID ever, not even remotely close, and I wonder if they had really improved by that much.
You'll see it all the time, but just ignore it & have faith that our guys know what they are doing!I encourage anyone who's genuinely interested in why Somebody to love might be a problem to read the COC dance thread. I&Z are not actually being bashed or attacked and a very intellectual conversation is going on there, chiefly led by Doris who, while not a huge I/Z fan, I think we can all probably agree is no hater and as unbiased as they come on the boards. Basically, if it is in 6/8, which there is some debate about, then no that isn't allowed per the rules. Whether they are going to be called on this is a different thing.

Discussion of our team starts post 8, and I advise paying special attention to posts 8, 17, 24, 32, and 36 for non-hater discussion of why this might be a problem.
IF they have to change their music they will and it will all be for the better. Remember B/S and their change from Delilah to Chess? To this day, I think it's one of the best SD's they've ever done. Time will reveal all, no need to speculate about worst case scenarios just yet. Let's see how they handle the pressure in China.
