S/B are now out of Finlandia - he is ill. I/Z were still listed as subs so I wonder if they will go instead?

ETA: lol I should have read paravolar's post first! I'd really like I/Z to go, I'm more interested in seeing how they measure up to W/P than to B/S & to see how they are treated outside Russia.

I think either I/Z go or there will be no ice dancers from Russia in Finland.

I'd rather see them compete against W/P than B/S right now. And Uhh is right, it would be better to see how they are treated outside of Russia first.
 
I think they would benefit more if they compete at Finlandia. The panel is similar to Nebelhorn known to be strict. I`m really curious how the technical panel will evaluate their Ravensburger Waltz. C/B pretty much nailed it at Nebelhorn, if you look at the levels.

Hmm. Even though it is only one week earlier, it could be hard for their schedule. I assume they have a fairly tight one and having to change it might not be beneficial to their training program. But if they feel confident, why not? It would be better to go there.

Is W&P going to be there? She's injured I heard. I don't think I&Z are going to do 2 competitions in 2 weeks though but who knows...

Me too :laugh: I`m obsessed with the Waltz part to STL. So beautiful.

S/B are apparently going to the Challenger in Bulgaria, so either I/Z are going or there will be no Russian team at Finlandia. Finlandia starts officially on Thursday, I guess, we will find out soon.
 
I'd assume if we haven't heard about them going at this point, they aren't going as they would have to fly out soon.

I want them to do both since Finlandia isn't too far from Russia. It's would give them 2 competitions to build and work on things for the Grand Prix.
