No need really. I don't even understand why its taking up so much space in an I/Z thread. Many others have said the same things if not more crudely and we couldn't care less. So what gives? Is she the TAT?

I can't wait for the GP's now, with the marks they got this weekend, it is going to be so interesting to see how they stack up in the major internationals.
I know that was on home ground, but still those marks were really fantastic, the highest score of the season by some margin!
If P/C aren't back in time for Euros, I think Ruslena will be European champions!

I really hope it`s going to be P/C vs I/Z for 2018. They are both sooo talented and sooo different from each other. Besides, everyone loves the classic France vs. Russia debate in ice dance

I really loved Ruslan`s interviews, it`s great to see how fond they are of each other. I`ve read them with google translation, but Ruslan apparently called her a friend and a loved one, I though that to be very sweet. I know, that ice dance teams don`t have get along to be successful (see G/P and A/P), but it`s nice that they could develop a close friendship. I think, if you can be friends with your partner, it makes everyday training much easier and more fun

Well, a part from the fact that Saransk it's a B competition and it was in Russia and Elena was the first to not take them as some big proof (although others would've) so I don't understand all this anger over inflation when it comes to IZ (C&L in Lombardia Trophy last season anyone?) tell me who deserves right now in ID 9's for SS and choreography or +3 GoE's (even with mistakes) for twizzles? NOBODY, and yet W&P, C&B and P&C got plenty of them last season (P&C deserved them for the choreo, IN, PE in the FD last season) and this one also. So, if these couples can get those marks so can I&Z, and maybe I would call that even underscored.

This. I am active in A LOT of fan fests recently. I admit this is a somewhat recent development so I only have data from the past maybe 2 months, but quite literally, of ALL the fan fests, there are only three where people seem to feel compelled to come in and talk bad about the team or skater on a regular basis- this one, Julia Lipnitskaia's and Mao Asada's. It's just not appropriate, and it's not a widespread problem even among the other super popular threads. I can only really conclude that people feel more threatened by these skaters, for whatever reason, than others.

Didn't they got +70 last season, before CoC if I'm not mistake, in Italy? I thought it was LT, my mistake. I took C&L but I can take other couples as well and it doesn't matter what competition. That's my main point.

It was a small local competition in Italy, called Ice Dance National Competition or something (not the real Nationals which is in December).

You know, readiness may be measured in many ways. Some people measure it with peak shape for the Worlds and others measure it with current common shape of the skating field. And these are two very different measures.

I have to agree that I/Z are far from perfect shape right now, but why should they? Skaters cannot be in top shape all year round. We have to accept it. I can't name a couple who would already be in perfect shape and able to keep it for half a year.
I/Z look really good compared to other teams. They look good compared to themselves one year before. I can clearly see these tons of work they still have to do but their interviews showed me that they see it too.

One of the most joyful part of Ruslan's interviews was his narration of the programs. We've already seen a few interviews from Elena with 'I chose the music', 'that was my dream', 'I wanted it this way'. I wasn't sure if Ruslan approved of the programs or was just trying to please Elena by following her choice. Now I know the answer. )))
