WP and CB changed their waltzes for more classical ones. Does anyone think that ISU recommended them to do it and IZ should change their waltz too?
No. Their interpretation of the waltz is spot on. STL is actually set to a waltz tempo. For both Dark Eyes and The Evis Medley, the waltz tempo wasn't clearly audible. Besides which their march is also nice and clear. I would be more concerned about H/D. My thoughts..

C&B got level 4 on both RW so I doubt it's a question of technical problems tbh. It's just my opinion but I think the change has more to do with second marks. Maybe they don't think (or they received feedback) that it's that good to make them shine or stand out. I noticed they got the same marks in PCS they did in Nebelhorn last season when they finished second, behind W&P. This season they didn't have a strong competition (no W&P), yet the PCS were the same. W&P on the other hand received in Finlandia about the same PCS they got last season at Nebelhorn, which is interesting so maybe both couples were expecting more, maybe. They maybe just don't feel the programs 100%, who knows. There could be many reasons. Sooner or later they will speak about it. However, I don't see how is this related even remotely with IZ .
I think people are just worried, that since I/Z have also a modern approach to the SD, it may cause problems to them, too. Honestly, since we have now nearly every top team doing a classical waltz, I/Z`s SD will stand out even more.

Both W/P and C/B said their changes were to make the rhythms clearer. C/B's scores looked good for September, I didn't think the PCS was low at all. I don't think they would have made changes this close to the GPs unless they felt they had to.
There are a lot of couples going with modern, P&C included, although I don't know how "Charm" can work as a waltz. Also they had the test skate and a B competition already. I just don't understand the "panic mode" when they have 2 great programs this year. Sure, not everybody would like them but who cares? Their SD work and can really rock. It's up to them now.
I didn't said they got low PCS but that they got the same as last season. So I was purely speculating if maybe they were aiming for more now. However, if they already clarified that the reason was in order to make the rhythms clearer here we go, then. All the more reason not to be afraid about IZ waltz since the rhythm in their SD is very clear.
Someone said W/P made the change because the judges didn't feel that their partial was a foxtrot. Even so, I feel that WWRY is pretty march-y, and I'm sure they could use other Queen songs if necessary, since most of the program is SBTL.
But our guys have the march and waltz down. Yes they will polish but so will everybody else I guess.I pray that I/Z don't change anything. Maybe they'll lose some points for nor being classical but they'll gain these points for being comfortable with the music. And the risk of making mistakes after changing programs is much higher for them as a new team.

W/P and C/B should have been the ones getting those scores that I/Z got at the MO or very close to it given their pedigree, so maybe that greatly motivated their choices. The comments from the judges could have also been a factor. I must say however I thought the Elvis program had potential.
As for I/Z they're unto something special and I think their team realizes that.
