Elena Radionova

Can anyone translate Elenas recent insta story?

if it's the one which is up at the moment - it is showing a message from someone who thanked Lena for wonderful commentating on MatchTV. That she has a nice voice and her comments are interesting. And special thanks for pronouncing the names of the skaters correctly.
Lena thanked the person back and that it was very nice of them.

Every time I see an update on this thread I fear news about her retirement.
That is valid(but let's all hope this fear doesn't become reality anytime soon and focus on the positive things like her going to art on ice again ^^ and hopefully healing properly and using the time she's having now)

CSKA photographer Alena Grishina writes on the social network VKontakte that Lena can still do only a small workload in training. :(

Lena also made a free program for a little figure skater from CSKA Arina Kolobova.

Poor Lena! :sad21: I hope she recovers soon! But it's probably tough to feel motivated to continue given the strength of the junior girls who'll be moving up to seniors next year...

Here are some clips of Lena choreographing for Arina/training her:

At least she's still involved with skating! :agree:
And she will be performing in Art on Ice in early 2019! :luv17:

Lena's sunny presence at Russian Nationals is greatly missed :sad21:
Somehow, I still hope she will go back to Inna Goncharenko. I know it is near impossible, but I think Inna would take her back. Buyanova has done her no favors. :disapp:

I agree that Buianova is the wrong coach for her, but unfortunately Inna retired, so I'm more hoping that she just should go to a coach that can focus on her, which with Buianova rn is just not the case [emoji20]

But on the other hand, last season was the first with Buianova and she had reasonable scores there, this season is just though on Lena in general, I think she even said in an interview before the season started that she went weeks without training because she couldn't move herself because she was so sad about Denis death, also she is dealing with a back injury, and it might be better to take this season off and bounce back next year stronger

On another note, is it just me, or does it look like in recent videos of her doing choreography that she is a but faster?

She looks very… involved! She's even a bit scary waving that coverblade. It's a side or her we barely see in competions, interviews or on her Instagram pages.

I love how involved she is! I think she'd make a great coach or choreographer. She is such a gritty skater with such great performance quality, I hope she'd be able to instill that into her pupils.

Oh, I didn't realize Goncharenko had retired :(
Hmm, maybe Rafael in the US? I mean, Evgenia can go abroad to train, why can't Lena?

Well I think Zhenya is a different case than Lena in the eyes of rusfed, and Rafael would be interesting but I guess if going abroad I'd say Lambiel would be a great fit

Evgenia have sponsorship, money she put from her wallet. Lot of times Rusfed denied further funding beyond those basic for every russian skater. Elena don't have that money, she can afford some travel in other countries but not a coach, a choreographer and renting an apartment for years at the same time. Even Kostner would struggle to train with Mishin without Suzuki commercials and TV or ice shows.

But first of all, beside her health problems and before searching a new coach, she need to find new motivation to herself. She seems lost lately.
