Hello Everyone who loves Lena~~Like my ID name, l love Yuzuru and Elena Radionova. Just wanna say hi to everyone in this forum who loves Lena. She is so adoroble that I can not leave my eyes on this lovely girl. Now is a tough time for Lena I believe. But Lena is mentally strong all the time. And I wanna say Good Luck in GPF and Russian National this months. Let us pray for this little fighter. No matter what happens, I will be the side of Lena.:luv17:
HA u have the best nickname!
welcome!~:luv17:

She talks about her daily routine: how she trains the whole day and then studies every evening.
Wants to be a coach eventually, she already tried to train little kids and was able to help them.
They chose the titanic ost because it's so beautiful and rarely used in skating.

Basically these are the main points :)

And now I have some bad news...or at least bad rumors. :(
According to the Russian forum, it seems that Inna Goncharenko is in fact ill, so she will only stay on as Lena's full-time coach until the end of the season. After that, she might still work with Lena as a consultant, but Lena will need to find a new coach.

There hasn't been any official news about this yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is true. :sad21:

I think this would be a crushing blow for Lena, since I think her tight bond with/total trust in Goncharenko is part of the reason she has been so consistent/mentally strong. And obviously she's going to be worried about Inna's health.

I'm also not sure who she would work with....I guess the obvious choice would be Elena Buyanova (Sotnikova/Kovtun's coach), but there are also rumors that she's not well either... :drama: What is going on at CSKA??!!!

Just please don't let it be Morozov!!!! :slink:

If this is true it is very sad for Goncharenko and prayers for her health. Sad for Lena because she seems really attached to her coach and I suspect some of what happened at Cup of China was because the absence of her coach. Not Morozov indeed! In fact he should not not be allowed around any of the female skaters. Ugh!

I really really hope that the rumors about Lena's coach are indeed just rumors. They seem to have such great relationship and it would be so sad to see them split. :(

I'm sad for Goncharenko and of course Elena. I remember reading somewhere that Goncharenko had cancer but defeated the disease. Wondering if this is a recurrence? :( Get well soon, Inna!

My goodness :(
Whatever is happening, I pray for Coach Inna's health.

Ok, so I'm having some difficulty deciphering these comments, but it seems like people are saying that Inna Goncharenko is NOT sick. (Thank goodness!) The reason why Lena might have to split up with her is because of internal politics at CSKA--basically, they want Goncharenko to leave.

Here's the original comment:

And the GoogleTranslate:
They say the main factor is not the fact of health is weakened. Groups that plainly is not, all the second tier, which she prepared for Lena, had other coaches CSKA. Relations with Buyanova extremely tense, with the diagnosis nervyak generally contraindicated. This in an interview says he is ready to consider options perezoda. Probably the Federation does not care about the preservation such a strong coach in its ranks. Do not sighted. Yesterday on the radio "Komsomolskaya Pravda" and said that all the attention to athletes, coaches few people are interested.

I don't quite get it, but I guess this all goes back to those rumors from last season about Elena Buyanova trying (and failing) to poach Lena, and the very unequal distribution of funds and ice time between Buyanova's group and Goncharenko's group. See here:

Well, I hope this all ends up being just rumors, but if Inna Goncharenko is really forced out of CSKA, if she finds another rink, I think Lena would go with her, no matter what...

It's just very disheartening to hear about these dirty politics!!

Goncharenko was indeed sick. But her illness may not be the main reason why Lena might move to another coach. That's what they are saying.

And to be frank, none of this is surprising. The reason why Morozov became Lena's choreography was because the lady who did her LP last season, Irina Maslennikova, had a falling out with Goncharenko.

On a much happier note, Yulia said some sweet things about Lena on her ask.fm account!
Q: What do you think of Lena Radionova? In a nutshell.
J: I love Lenchik! And after Rostelecom it just my hero !!!
Sweeeet!!! :agree:

:luv17: I hope to see them bond again (in competition)

You mean Goncharenko was sick years ago, when she had cancer? Or before Cup of China? Or still sick now? :scratch2:

I read something about the conflict with Elena Maslennikova with regards to one of Goncharenko's other students...hmmm...but I'm more curious why they ended up not working with Averbukh, since it was originally reported that he had been offered the job. Perhaps he heard the Titanic music and was like, no way! :disapp:

In general this is very upsetting. I saw all the rumors at the end of last season saying that Goncharenko's group might be disbanded, etc, but then Lena's training seemed to be proceeding normally, and it sounded like she was finally able to get some more funding from the Federation so that her parents didn't have to pay for specialists...but now we're back to the rumors about Lena having to switch coaches again.

Oh well. Last year Lena seemed pretty oblivious about the poaching rumors, so hopefully now she can just focus on killing it at GPF this week!! GOOOO LENA!!!! :cheer:

In this situation, I'd rather to have those rumours about CSKA not supporting Elena true, rather then that her coach being ill.
I have sneaky feeling that Elena would go with her coach to a different club in a heartbeat. Wasn't it discussed somewhere here that Lena's parents actually have to pay for stuff that other skaters from different groups have covered by the club, yet they are behind Elena's coach 100℅? (considering her results, that' no suprise).
Where is L'Oreal? They should sign a sponsorship deal with our Ray of Sunshine to cover her expenses somewhere else, where she is appreciated and in return, Elena could be the face of some hair product line. The inner model in Lena probably wouldn't mind and given my lenghty crush on Lena's hair, I would race to the store for those. And I'm sure I'm not the only one :D. Win-win.
Anyway, best of luck to Elena-Inna duo for whatever the upcoming months bring.
