why did Lena withdraw from competition? I actually was looking forward to seeing her FS.

She withdrew? Probably because she felt unsure of it I guess. I love Elena a lot and I actually really like her programs but I'm just really worried. She got 53 on the sp she should just really change coaches maybe again

On the Russian forums, people write that Lena in Yoshkar-Ola went outside the ice in very warm clothes, not on the street, but indoors. It was not cold there and no one was dressed like Lena. Lena is not sick. It is very strange.

Couldn't it be that she was sick? Elena does seem kind of off even at the test skates. I really hope she gets better and stays healthy. I would love to see her succeed.

Apparently she chose the SP music by herself
I think the music is nice. But i can't say the same for the choreography, i liked her step sequence, her body movements are really cool but i think it's technically poor. But she can change the stsq there is still 2 weeks before her GP starts, we know a lot of skaters who change their whole choreography weeks before the competitions.
And i don't understand why everyone is in panic. Yes, Polina, Maria, Elena didn't do well and some unknown skaters beat them. But these girls have potential and they are far better than the skaters who didn't even get a gp assignment, remember last season elena was beaten by Rika Hongo and she failed at test skates, then she did really great at CoC. Not long time ago Alina wasn't good either at the test skates but yesterday she dominated.

It's too hard to see them together nowadays. I'm sad for her because good technique on toe jumps was never awarded and bad techniques of Evgenia and Kaetlyn took higher points than Lena.

this is not good. could be the end of her unfinished career unfortunatly. its heartbreaking

An insider writes that Lena is seriously thinking about retirement, but has not yet made a final decision. He was the first to write about Lena’s transition to Buyanova and about Kovtun’s return to Buyanova.

I hope not honestly, she just needs a coach that will rework her entire jumping technique and a lot in general. Lena is one of the most enjoyable to watch I hope she won't retire

I also really don't want Lena to retire. But Lena has a lot of problems now. It will be very difficult for her to compete at a really high level. I will be very, very happy if Lena succeeds. But I will support any decision of Lena. Maybe retirement will be a good solution. Lena is a very talented person not only in figure skating. At the Russian Cup was just anguish on the ice. Lena is necessary either to cope with problems or retire if she can't. It is better to shine in the show and realize talents outside the ice, than to suffer in competitions.
