Elizabeth gave an
interview in the program "Honest Life" (as I understand it, this is Kazakhstan TV). Below is a summary with links to moments in the video.
The Japanese public not only accepts skaters very well, but also behaves correctly - they know how to preserve silence, realizing that an athlete needs this. And at the same time when the skater needs to support the Japanese begin to applaud. They always give a lot of gifts.
Orcer is a good coach and professional in his field. But it was hard to train not at home, but across the ocean, away from family (father, brother). In Canada and America a different mentality, they train in a completely different way, there the athlete has to motivate himself, and the coach only supports him. The north-american coach will support you anyway. Perhaps for those who want results (at least quick results) need a different type of coaching. Brian never scolds a skater [Lisa
says it with a slight skeptical (at least, for me), but kind smile]. Brian was pleased with training and competition of Elizabeth.
I have been to many coaches,
but I like Eteri Georgievna exactly. I like how the whole training process is built. Honestly, in Canada at the beginning, I very often remembered and missed her, and she even dreamed of me in a dream [Elizabeth
laughed embarrassed at that moment

:luv17:]
Q: How exactly did the transition, tell us in detail how did things happen?
A: First, my mom called and asked to come back, because we really wanted this. Eteri Georgievna wanted me to call myself, I called and explained the situation - that I want to go back and I promise not to leave (Elizabeth
laughs). At the first training session I was very excited.
Q: What did Eteri think about you — your status and physical form?
A: At the time of transition, I was not very good shape, I was recovering from injury. Almost a month did not skate. Eteri Georgievna very often tells me that I can do a lot with my physique, and kind of - "Why do you doubt and lose time? It's time to jump all this (at competitions)"
Eteri is a very honest person, it distinguishes her from another, she tells the athlete everything honestly. Not only what happens on the ice, but also how the skater looks, his hair, etc.
When I went to the WС, I did not think about the pedestal. My goal was to perform well.
In early childhood I was fatty and I was sick often, so coache didn't wanna take me, I was kicked out of another coach too, I was about 5 years old then. Then the coach (who did not take me at the beginning) took me only as an addition to my brother.
[
about "I, Tonya"] In this film, all too much, i dunno, exaggerated, for me. Maybe in those days it was like that, but now it just doesn’t happen in our sport that someone to say or do something bad to someone. Figure skating is a cultural sport.
Denis Ten was very supportive of me at the World Cup (team) we were in the Asian team.
He very loved to joke, jokes he always succeeded very well.
I like that my dad is my agent, that my affairs remain with my family. My whole family is immersed in figure skating, this is our common cause.
My coaches and I understood that without a quad, I have no chance of high places in the world championship. This is not the first time I've been playing at the WC and I needed this jump.
Q: Does your choreographer allow you to participate in creating a program?
A:
Yes of course. If I can do something special, I can show it to him, and we will insert it into the program.
Сhanging the coachit's absolutely normal. But if you have been with coaches for a long time, you should definitely thank for everything.
Q: Let's fantasize a little. Zhenya Medvedeva said in an interview that she hoped that she would not have more bronze and silver medals, there would be only gold. I am sure that Zagitova also reasons like that [we don't know, ma'am, at least she didn't say anything

]Of course you also have a dream to win at the Olympics?
A: I think you never need to talk about it, or announce it, I think you just need to work silently [my face is

:agree:]
Q: What quality do you like most about yourself?
A:
Probably the responsibility, this feature has always been with me. I don’t like to miss training, I’m serious about everything.
P.S. My apologies for the English speaking people for my poor translation. I don't know many sports terms. For example, I not sure, that "The
transition skater between coaches" is right term, etc.
