they are thinking about adding more 3As in LP (hipothetically)

"we plan to go in this direction (3 3As) But we'll be observing & evaluating it as it goes"
So they will try & see if she manages.

Also Mishin says that she will use the same strategy as competing many times as she did this year (WC is her 13th comp)

Do we have this in here yet?

Plushy:
"Congratulations to Lisa, my younger friend by the group with an outstanding skating, overcoming difficult season and with a brilliant triumph at the World Championship! NBC won't air her program until this weekend. Here's Teledeporte, if you understand Spanish.

thanks a lot guys!
even tho i dont understand Spanish I want to hear the gushing!:p

Here's a rough translation of the Spanish commentary - mostly gushing!

Javier Raya: The truth is that this group is first rate, the most important
Paloma del Rio: Tuktamysheva is going to attempt a triple axel - or just a double? - triple axel. Only Mao Asada used to attempt it lately.
JR: Pay attention, viewers, it's an historic moment.
PdR: Mao Asada, and Yuka Sato in the past [??? I think she means Midori Ito], now she's gonna attempt a triple axel
JR: Let's hope she does it
JR and PdR : ¡Olé!
JR: This is terrific!
Triple lutz – great!
PdR: What a great triple she did!
JR: Triple toeloop-triple toeloop! Sweet mother!
PdR: She's going for the gold!
JR: With what she's doing today, she's gaining a cushion of points for tomorrow.
PdR: They can try and answer this - other Russian skaters, anybody else – with a triple axel and a program like this...
Sweet mother ! Look, her TES is already over 40 points!
JR: Impressive! She's going to match the scores of some guys! Historic moment.
PdR: Oh yeah! We're giving her a standing ovation! Terrific!
JR: This is the best program...
PdR: Triple axel! Take a look at the bleachers, girl! And what a program, not only triple axel, but also a triple lutz and a triple-triple.
JR: Triple-triple in the second half of her program! Impressive!
PdR: Terrific! This young lady, Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, is going for the gold. She won the GPF, Euros and now she's set for a triple win. She can't believe it.
JR: Sweet mother! She did great!
The little girl is the same size of the stuffed animal she just gave her
PdR: [ I can't understand what she says]
JR: Sweet mother! Impressive! What a great program!
PdR: And she didn't even make the team last season
JR: Mishin can be happy. He didn't want to work with girls, but apparently Elizaveta made him change his mind
PdR: Look at her air position! Perfect! She earned +1.71 GOE! WOW!
JR: From an artistic point of view, that was also very good
PdR: Look at her face – so focused! A great program, Ms Tuktamysheva! 44 points for TES – some guys can't achieve that!
JR: I couldn't! And I have a triple axel, but I couldn't! [laughs]Impressive, impressive! Yuzuru Hanyu holds the record for Mens' SP with... about 102, and she, a girl, obtains 77 points!
PdR: 77! Good PCS, TR 7.89 , SS 8.46, PE 8.68, CH 8.46, IN 8.43. Lots of +GOE, +1.57 for her triple axel. 77.62!
JR: Sweet mother! And Mishin reacts as if it were business as usual...
PdR: Now he has a human reaction!

So, a question to my fellow Liza fans - should I stay out of the ladies' FP thread? Is there any joy to be had there? I mean, is anyone actually happy - or is it just a load of griping & grousing? Just curious...

Well, I gave up on the Short Program thread because it descended into a Mao vs Yu-Na match (neither of them were there!)

But how could anyone not be happy for Liza? She was so brilliant this year! Queen of the 3A! :cheer:

Thank you so much! Awww - she is just adorable, isn't she? :)

Yes! World Champ! :cheer:

I distinctly remember seeing Liza's free program for the first time at the beginning of this season -- thought it was strange (some say 'tacky'), although oddly captivating -- and I have continued watching all season long to see this program develop and lead her to this moment. She has kept my interest high in figure skating this season, despite being an overall disappointing post-Olympic year with many of our old favorites not competing, and very few skaters even attempting to raise the bar.

I have never been a big fan of "Bolero" being used for figure skating (even for Caro or Liza here), but Liza finally 'owned' her short program (with huge help from a rare 3A!) and the 3rd best short program score of all-time for a lady.

Although her free program at Worlds was far from her strongest this season (that would probably be Euros), it's been a long, tireless road to get here. Congratulations! I am so happy for Liza, for Russia for getting on top of the podium, and for Elena to battle through to remain on the podium herself.

I have a soft spot for her. I think it's a combustion of the rough patch she went through plus the comments I see about her body. I want her to get out there and do it. I am glad she had such a great year and I hope her success continues. Don't get me wrong I pull for my US skaters too, but I like Tuk succeeding. I also like that she uses English sometimes so I know what the heck is going on.

I applaud Liza for her successful comeback from her slump. She is truly an inspiration to me to never give up no matter how difficult the circumstances.

TBH, I am not a fan of hers yet because I would like to see different types of programs (more variety) from her. But once she shows me that variety, I will immediately become a fan.

No rest for Liza! She will do her 13th start (and it is not counting Bavarian Open) this season at the World team competition. She is going to do 3a again!
I really hope she will have enough time to rest before the new season.

:O has this been confirmed? Which other skaters are going to WTT?
