Now, I don't know what way the conversation in this thread went last night when I was not on the forum, but I have to be honest. When I read
mustafakent's comment yesterday, I interpreted it as him being sarcastic about all the things that were being said about Liza elsewhere (e.g. on the TSL Facebook page).
The first sentence was an example of what was being said, and the "Simply pathetic" was his verdict on the people coming out with this sort of statement.
Maybe I am wrong. But, whoever's interpretation is correct, it shows how different people can read the same post in totally different ways.
I don't think her success last season has anything to do with the drug. I'm sure she's not the only Russian/Eastern European Figure Skater taking it last season and I don't see anyone else with her success. However, her inconsistency this season may very well be because she stopped taking the drug. I personally don't believe the performance enhancement effect of this drug. But I think when she is doing something so well, anything deviate from the usual routine may put mental block in her brain and interfere with her performance.
It's very brave for Liza to speak out and support her fellow athletes. But because she admitted to having used this drug and also had a not so great I really hope she can come back next season and perform like the she did in the 2014-2015 season.
Such a powerful psychological & media warfare against Russian skaters at present! "However, her inconsistency this season may very well be because she stopped taking the drug." Such idiotic conclusion is just priceless.

Yeah, Liza used to take this drug on a daily basis, and without it she could not have made that stunning 3A at the Worlds! IQ showing should at least have reasonable degrees, guys.
Again, I am sorry, but I think you have taken that part of
shyne's statement ("However, her inconsistency this season may very well be because she stopped taking the drug.") the wrong way,
Sweet Dream.
Now, I admit that I don't know much about this "melon stuff" (can't be bothered looking up the correct spelling) or how it works. BUT, I do believe that shyne was referring to how long it can take for the body to adjust to coming off some types of medication after you have been on it long term.
Put it like this, when somebody wants to stop smoking, they do not just go cold turkey. They have to slowly reduce the amount of nicotine they are putting into themselves until their body can cope without it.
As I say, I don't know if it is the same without this melon stuff. But, after being on it for however long she was, it may well be that it is taking Liza's body a while to adjust to being without it.
Let's face it, in terms of her skating, it took her a long time to adjust to having the body she now has. So, it may just be part the way Liza is "programmed" that it takes her a long time to adjust to changes.
