Awww! I remember last year at the time of the GPF, Liza posted some picture on Instagram, and Kaitlyn wrote a comment about missing her at the GPF, and Liza responded that "miss you too" (or words to that effect). It was so sweet.:) I've had a soft spot for Kaitlyn ever since, even though I don't even watch ice dance.:)

Wish them all the best.:)

(Though agreed with tulosai re Cleopatra... )

This is OT but I really respect that Katelyn Weaver takes learning other languages so seriously... I'm sure she's not very good at most of them but she seems to have successfully developed 'real' connections with many skaters from different countries, more than I think is usual even in skating, particularly with skaters who don't speak English that well, and I really do applaud her for the effort it must have taken to do that. I think it says something good about her and her priorities, whatever you think of her skating.

Okay, back to Liza now.

she's my hero :cheer2:

Hoping to see an energized and recovered Liza at CoC! :cheer2: Hopefully she really is feeling better. But I still can't get over her team trashing Cleopatra...it wasn't a great program but I thought with a few tweaks it would've worked...

Yes, I hope she has enough energy to inject into the Peer Gynt, which is a very dramatic program - but regardless, I hope she gets through it all right. Then she can go back home, rest, train and come back for the Golden Spin.

Anyway, well done, Liza! Also, she has regained some stability to the SP this season - so far (touch wood), no meltdowns.

Bronze! Well done, Liza! Especially under the circumstances - I had settled for 4th in my mind and thought that would be a good result, so a medal was a pleasant surprise. Good to see her fight for it.

The batwing dress, though... :confused2: I sort of liked her old Peer Gynt dress, so I'd like to see that back if we're going to have Peer Gynt again. (I'm not expecting that to happen, though, considering what tends to happen regarding dresses of hers that I like or not... Sigh.)

Great news!

Liza got the bronze at Cup of China! And her jumps were mostly awesome. Sad that the Cleopatra free is gone, but I do like her costume for Peer Gynt, muu-muu or not!

Congrats, Liza! :points:

Congratulations to Liza for her bronze at Cup of China! This is a step forward for her and what a great present for herself after the fever made her lose her training time for some time. I guess her consistency is coming back surely.

I enjoyed her performance, hope she keeps improving and get's back to her world champion form soon as I still wanna see her at the 2018 Olympics :)

I hate her dress but if having no skirt makes her feel airy and let her do the jump then I say keep the damn dress!! I really like how graceful her hand movement

as long as Liza skates well i can stand the dress:) and I think that Liza can do wonders with that dress with her beautiful hands and arms movements

You guys are far more tolerant about the dress than I am - which, by the way, I shall insist on calling the batwing. (I'm going to have some enjoyment out of that dress if it kills me!;))

The dress was a shocker. Not on the level of Carmina Burana dress #2 but not terribly far off either.
The worst thing is that I suspect that it would look okay without the weird fabric on her right arm. The fabric is also very distracting when Liza moves.

I actually rather liked the dress. Of course, not just anyone could pull it off. Only a QUEEN could pull it off. As Liza does. ;)
