I know Liza will be at Skate Canada and NHK, but any word on other fall comps for her? I hope she skates like a BOSS this season.

Me too! I will be going to my first competition at Skate Canada, and I get to see both her and Medvedeva. :hap85: I'm so excited; I hope they both skate well!
I don't know what Challenger events she will be at, though.

I've had a great time at Skate Canada whenever I've been lucky enough to go, and I'm sure you will too! It's amazing to watch live skating. And the women's field at SC this year looks so, so good. Enjoy and cheer extra loud for Liza!!!

It's SUCH a good ladies field at that comp! I think this will be a great introduction to live skating, and you can bet that I will cheer loud and long for Liza; I'd be so stoked to see her have a great season! :yay:

The SP will apparently be tango themed and her FS will be to "old fashioned music" (I think he means from the 20's as he says Liza will apparently be portraying a woman from the 20's who breaks lots of hearts in the FS).

Her short is to Assassin's Tango, and her long to You Don’t Love Me by Caro Emerald and Petite Fleur by The Hot Sardines. I'm not familiar with these - except with Caro Emerald's That Man via Savchenko/Massot - but I'm guessing it's sort of retro, swing type music, perhaps.

Liza will benefit from the new Zagitova rule and I think she has good chances this season.

BUT:

- The 3A is not everything: It needs to replace a 2A, not her second 3Lz (smart technical layout to maximize points)
- Her team has to make sure that she hits level 4's on spins and steps
- 3Lz-3T is necessary (maybe for the sp 3A, 3Lz, 3T-3T is good enough, like in 2015)
- Give her upbeat music pieces, she's not a piano concert skater!!!!
- Transitions!!!

Yup, Alina and her dog, cat, and chinchillas (which I think she had to give away), Yulia and her horse, Evgenia and her ladybug.

It looks complicated for an American to donate to the shelter, which is probably why she didn't post it in Russian and English both.
