I also like Eun Soo more but both girls are really talented. You Young is just 12 so I don't expect anything from her artistically but from her performances you can tell that she tries to interpretate and do her best in all parts of her programs. Eun Soo is natural artist who is also talented athletically, she reminds me of Yuna, that's why I call her Little Yuna lol Great all-rounder, doesn't have weaknesses. Tanos don't add up so much but if you're such a consistent jumper like Evgenia but don't have outstanding jumps like Anna or Kaetlyn (who still has the highest GOEs for her jumps without tanos), you can get as close to their GOEs for jumps. The reason of Evgenia's/Alina's big scores are backloading+tanos+transitions. So it's not only about tanos. Yeah, I think it must be hard, at least for triple jumps, you for sure needs great balance lol. You Young is the most popular and hyped but if Eun Soo/ Ye Lim will do well on Junior Worlds (medal), it'll be one of them. Park So Youn is also popular.

I don't think it's so much the tanoes and transitions as it is the backloading. I think you get like 10% of the base value? Well, I will prob never understand this scoring system, laughs....

Park So Youn is a very sassy skater, kind of like Ashley Wagner, ha.

I think my fav of the korean girls is Eun soo Congrats to her gold medal at nationals.

There is no question in my mind she was ahead of the pack and she simply outclassed the other girl.

A little bit late but big big big congrats to Eun Soo:hap85:So well deserved! More importantly, she delivered two great programs at the same time as I recall she was always incrediable in one program and bombing another program this season. But this time, she proved herself to be a strong contender. Cannot wait for the junior worlds, go amaze the world!

Eun Soo won Middle School Girls A category from Korea's National Winter Games :agree: Got edge call on flip and fell on 3T from 2A-3T combo. Ye Lim won free program but Eun Soo still won PCS. Overall score: 181.53 (Ye Lim- 179.08). I hope she will have great preperation for Worlds and will skate her best there :luv17:

I'm so proud of Eunsoo! Her skating is rock solid, her consistency is incredible! She skates beautifully light and smooth, her jumps has superb quality, and she is mentally very much prepared to do well in the most difficult situations. Good for her! She's still very young, has plenty of time to improve in the future.

I wish her good luck in the FS too!

I'm so proud of her :hopelessness: I couldn't agree more with you, sallycinnamon, so I won't wrote anything more than good luck to her in free, I just hope she will have another great skate, no thinking about final result and be proud of what she did in this competition. She just kept improving every competition, I felt she deserved a little better PCS but still what a great score :agree: Seeing Korean skater doing so well make me all emotional, I'm sure this is the last thing in figure skating that Yuna wants :sad4:

I'm so happy and proud of her :sad4: I know she was disappointed by fall and end of her program but this is such a great result for her first junior season and she's so young (yes, they all are but she's super young lol). I'm sure she will have great next season, she improves every competition. She had many level 3s, I hope she will focus on her spins and steps because she for sure can earn them all. I'm so excited for her, I hope she will keep improving and will have amazing programs and results next season
