Eun-Soo Lim

Eunsoo fought well in the FS. FYI, she had a collision with Mai Mihara  but both skaters don't seem to have seriously injured themselves, and still put on good performances. Good job Eunsoo!

And as soon as that collision clip came on, I knew that it'd be bad news for Mai. She did nothing wrong - it was really just an accident, but Korean Youtubers are already starting to attack her...as a Korean myself it's embarrassing to see...

Thank God that collision wasn't that bad  I agree just accident, I remember that Yuna-Mika mess :drama: It was ok-ish, I still don't see connection between her and this program, even though she still looks amazing since she's just a star. Plus she was so confused about combos today, she needs to go for them. That lean on 3S was scary too but most of jumps still were stunners, as expected. Top six is not bad, competition was crazy good. I'm sad she has another competition back to back, on different continent :( But it is how it is, I hope she will be able to have even better performances and scores.

Even if her free skate wasn't as great as her SP, this was a great debut for Eunsoo nonetheless. I cannot believe a 15-year-old skates with such grace, delicacy and maturity - really quite astounding. Good luck to her at Rostelecom!

Great skate! As others have said, 6th is hardly poor given the field, and she's totally won my heart. I can see her only going up from here :) :luv17:

Her FS broke my heart. It wasn't anybody's fault, but it was still a terrible situation. She was stone faced the entire time and seemed to be in pain. Just thinking about her emotional state of it being her debut, having a collision like that and then having to skate first...I felt absolutely awful. I'm so proud of her for fighting through it, but yeah...I still can't make a judgment on the FS and I don't think people should judge it yet when she had to skate with that mindset. Rest up and feel better at Russia. Hopefully Raf takes good care of her.

Eun-soo, your gala skate was lovely, but that dress makes you look like a bottle brush whenever you spin

Loved her FS! Pity about the fall in the warm up. That probably shook her through out the FS. She did look a bit tentative. But she did still score personal bests in all segments!

In case any of you were curious about the CBC commentary for her NHK Trophy LP, it's at the 2:10 mark (the password is women): https://vimeo.com/297835121 Her SP wasn't broadcast on Canadian television.

I had completely forgotten the fanfest existed, so late hello everyone. I am happy to see darling squirtle getting more love (as she deserves ), hoping with all my heart that she skates a great, clean free and gets even more love and attention at Rostelecom. Darling, please look after yourself

Eunsoo is one of my new favourites [emoji7] just love her skating style. Hope she goes well at Rostelecom!!

Omg her dress for the gala is so short!! I’m feeling like an overprotective parent, but plz Eunsoo, longer skirts. Her legs are just so endlessly long.

There's really only so much she can do with her FS, but she can make beautiful lines which helps a lot in terms of her presence on ice. I think her SP was able to highlight that more with the slower tempo and more time for bodily articulation. Her SP is still one of the best this season for me. She has greater chance of getting a medal at Rostelecom in terms of who she'll be competing against, so hopefully the collusion wasn't as awful as I thought it was and she'll be there with great health. Wish her the best!

ISU interview with Eunsoo!

Interesting that she had no idea of what music to skate to for her SP so Yuna Kim sent her two pieces of music and she showed them to Jeffrey Buttle and then he chose Somewhere in Time, which was the one she preferred too. I'd love to know what was the other music... :eeking:

So cool that she has contact with Yuna and she helps her like that. This SP ended up being one the best of this season so, kudos to Eunsoo for skating so beautifully, to Buttle and to Yuna for having such good taste in music!

The Queen is great at everything, and that includes recommending music  I love Eunsoo's SP even more now, can't wait to see it again :luv17:

I do hope she has better luck with the starting order this week, according to the interview it seems that nerves got to her at NHK. And of course, no collisions

The SP is soooo good and as expected of Yuna's tastes in music. Jeff and Eunsoo have such good chemistry judging from the SP and her EX so I'm definitely on the boat of getting more programs for him in the future. However, I want her to keep experimenting with other choreographers as well.:)

I'm honestly so in love with her free program. I say that despite her performance at NHK because I think it has so much potential to be amazing. Her dress is stunning and the music and choreography are so engaging. She didn't perform with a lot of expression at NHK, but that may have been a result of her collision/falling early in the program. I'm hoping she grows with the program and performs it to her true potential!
