You know, whenever I have to remind myself that not all Russian public is like this, I go to Tracy and Brian‘s instagram post and read all the countless comments like:

“Thank you so much for taking care of our Zhenya“, “we are so thankful for what you do for Zhenya“, “thanks for being there for her, from Russia with love“

And then I‘m happy again because I‘m reminded that while Russian press and media especially can be pathetic, there are so many people who love her. And she has powerful people in her corner who root for her, like Tarasova. And hopefully, if Zhenya and Averbukh really did the SP together, he‘ll support her now too. Hello! I am just joining the discussion (after reading in silence this forum for too long). I think her new exhibitions are just great. The one on Milion Red Roses has this "old-school" classy vibe, while the one on 7 rings is very modern and fun and I really want Ariana Grade to see it. Regarding the Russian press talking about her not jumping and all that, all I say is whatever, her performances from the LG ThinQ shows are well viwed on social media and the crowed loved her, I did not see any complains from them and ultmately that is what matters.

Does anyone know how figure skaters get sponsors? I want her to get more sponsors as she has a big social media following and it would be good to see her partner with more brands.

What’s really frustrating about this is that in any other country the fed would not be allowing this to happen. They have stepped in over some journalists comments on team Eteri and honestly I think the fed need to start putting their foot down more and saying no. It’s damaging for them in the long run and paints a horrible picture when the reality is that these women are top level athletes who like every other athlete face injuries and set backs from time to time. Imagine this happening for any other sport, it is so ridiculous when you put it in context.
 
I decided to ignore such "journalism" as well as the internet trolls. They're not worth it to get any attention.

I think the choice to not jump in shows is smart and proves that the team she is working with are looking after her. It’s been a long season and they all deserve a bit of a rest! Can’t wait to see her new programmes next season. I’m also really looking forward to stories and pictures from the cricket club when they all get back!
