This is the original article: https://www.dp.ru/a/2019/04/25/Skolzjashhij_grafik, sports.ru has taken a literal excerpt with the purpose of ??

It is probably some unwritten rule in Russian sports about compensating the previous trainer. Transfer sums etc are common in lots of sports, but are these always legal?
Money matters going public always leave a foul taste. When gymnastics champion Aliya Mustafina and her trainer split up, the trainer essentially abandoned her pupil and started coaching at Liukin's in the USA. When Aliya won some big titles, the woman had the guts to call Aliya and demanded her share of the price money. AFAIK, Aliya answered something like "screw it, you abandoned me, I owe you nothing" and Aliya is still competing for Russia.

I think one can be reasonably sure any financial and business arrangements between Mr Orser/TCC and Medvyedeva are much more solid, transparant and legal under Canadian law, and more reasonable than the shady practices of 'royalties' and 'transfers' in Russia.

But it is probably less expensive to have your new competition program designed in Russia than in Canada. Assuming it takes of month of 2-3 hours daily before the program really fits the skater.
If Yevgeniya has full faith in Averbukh's quality and capabilities, she has made the right choice and can work from home.

And the rest is probably too busy filming with their phones (not that I'm complaining as we get the videos).

Seems to be the new trend, watching a wonderful gala through your phone's camera and small display instead of enjoying it live and watch it back on TV when you're home again.
Probably because of all those e-tickets, which leave you with no souvenirs you've ever been to the gala. Or course we are glad with those many clips from different positions in the stands, since TV can never capture everything.

Averbukh choreography would be helpful for Canadian trained athlete if national team makeup is voted on again by RusFed.

I have a confession to make....

Every now and then, I still watch Evgenia's OCS test skates performance. It makes me smile :) I know it is not the genre that suits her best and it is certainly not my favorite, but she really sold OCS for that one performance. (Well, actually to be fair, she sold it at SCI, too, and minus that mistake on the combo, it was actually really great).

I don’t mind who it is at this point. I just want to know who and I want to see it at her shows in Japan [emoji23]

I wouldn't make any conclusions about the choreographer based on the interview. It's very unclear when it was taken and to me it seems likely it was during her stay in Moscow. The main giveaway is that the reporter asks her about WTT that just took place at that point and doesn't have any questions about her Arianne Grande EX. Considering how much of a weird splash it made in the media, I bet no Russian reporter would pass up a chance to ask her something about it right now. They even snuck a mention of the EX into the introductory text, despite not talking about it in the interview.

For me the most important thing about the interview was that if she hadn't been injured she would have gone to WTT, which I wasn't expecting (especially after Liza was left out of the Worlds Team).

Zhenya was probably selected because of the podium finish at Worlds.
