Evgenia Medvedeva

This Anna Karenina might become an iconic program for her. I feel it.

About her Lutz, she didn’t get called e at Japan Open, even though it’s a ! i it’s pretty much an e. However as long as she lands it cleanly they will mostly give her ! At worst I guess. I pray that she will do 3F3Lo and 2A2T2lo to improve her BV. It’s totally within her reach.

I also wish she would switch a 3T combo for a 3Lo one! She's definitely capable of it, there are many videos of her doing it in training - I think perhaps if she keeps her old layout of 2+5 she could do this!

New interview of Zhenya, with explanations.
"We have changed free skating after the tournament in Bratislava"

Thank you!
Well she's right about everything there. Both about the music, the need for it to be strong and recognizable and Anna K is that, and I think it also shows she truly does get into the Anna K story, unlike the Leftovers. Good choice there!
Also she played nice with Averbukh, good bit of diplomacy there.

Some people should slap Averbukh about his horrible choice though.

Sorry for the off-topic question, if there's any dedicated thread regarding this, pls link me to it.

I've never been to a figure skating event before and want to attend 2018 European Championship.

I'm confused about what tickets do I need to buy. Official website mentions "single sessions". If I get one short+free program ticket, does that give me access to all of the short and free programs (Men SP+FP and also Ladies SP+FP), or do I need to buy 4 separate tickets (one for each program)?

I'm happy to see Zhenya communicate with her team and choose a program that she feels she connects more with. She does not need another Averbukh pre-packaged, pre-conceptualized, "pre-thought" program. I hope that after this Olympic season she will continue in this direction and fully develop her own artistic vision. I don't think the movie is a good adaptation of Anna Karenina but the music is superb and it is more important that she understands who the character is.

Can you upload it on YT or any other social media, please? [emoji1374]

Eteri: We are working hard in practices. If you think we Russians have such a disadvantage [I didn't get the context], then let me say, we do 150% in practices, which lets us to do 110% in competitions.
Evgenia: ...to improve yourself and to be more self-confident.
...I still remember everything. She [Wakaba Higuchi] presented me a box of chocolates, with a heart and a congrats. ... She wrote me congratulations after the Worlds. Now we talk a lot in the internet, we write each other every day.
[After watching Wakaba's message] It was very cute! ^^ Thank you Wakaba! I wish you luck, good health and a lot of strength. It is most important.

Beautiful Zhenya on page 36
I find Eteri's interview interesting and important in light of all these comments about her 'inhumane assembly line'. Have it been translated anywhere? If not, I can do it.

P.S. I was banned twice for alleged spamming, before even posting a single message. I hate GS. :( I even started hacking it to post this message, before got unbanned manually.

When you try to paste a link on your first message on the forum or paste a link, it will tag you as spam. I know because it happened to me too

I quite prefer her new FS, actually. The old one was okay but not very great, kind of like last season's to me. This still isn't as good and involved as her 15-16 FS to me, but a clear step up. And when we consider that her SP is my favorite of hers ever, I think that she's in a significantly better position this season.

For Olympics, it's very important to choose programs that people will like on first listening, especially for viewers who only watch figure skating every 4 years. It needs to be accessible and strike the very first time you watch it.
