Evgenia, you have already performed in many cities. Which city do you consider special, which city has the most unforgettable atmosphere for you?
- City... Each has its own characteristics, but Mega-sport is a special arena for me, because two years ago my, one might say, final full-fledged performance in competitions took place here. Except for my failed performance at the Russian Championship, which was half frustrated. But my last full-fledged performance was here, I was skating then just super. And to be honest, even now, when I was moving on the ice, about to make a salchow, I had the feeling that I was compete at the Rostelecom Cup. I got nervous, my legs buckled a little, I thought: “Ah!”. Scary!
What is the difference between the Tutberidze show and other shows?
-Here, probably, the same as in other shows - a lot of people, everyone enjoys figure skating without drama. Here people just meet their stars, their heroes as warmly as they can. It's so cool. And I think that's what shows are made for. The shows were created for the love of sports, for their favorite athletes, for skating, for beautiful dresses. Shows are made for this.
You have actually become a mentor for many athletes - you help them, support them. So it was, for example, at the First Channel Cup. Tell me, please, what do you remember most about this season? What was he like for you, in your mind?
- Well, let's talk, probably, only about the positive aspects of this season. This season has hardened a lot of people. This season has been tough for some athletes. But why only for some? For all athletes in general, without exception. But all the people who go out on the ice today are absolute heroes, they show their maximum even here, so... Well, what can I say in particular - all these guys and girls are very strong people.
And what now, in a difficult situation, motivates athletes?
- You know, I am not in this situation now, and therefore I cannot say what is in the mind of every athlete.
You and Sasha Trusova both danced in the style of strip plastic. Now the fans are asking for a joint dance. Can we see it?
- Well, it's actually strange - to draw parallels between my exercises and Sasha's exercises, because we did not talk about it at all with each other. It is clear that figure skating fans want to see some kind of conspiracy, some kind of plan, but there is no plan. We just do it for ourselves. Will there be a joint dance? Yes, I don't know, to be honest. Probably, both of us first need to learn how to dance in this style for real, and then make some plans.
Ilya Averbukh announced the suspension of the Ice Age show, in which you skated very well with Milokhin. How did you take this news?
-Nothing special. A lot of things are happening in the world right now, a lot of cancellations, a lot of changes. I didn’t hear this directly from Averbukh, I just read this news. Who knows, maybe something else will change. It's all? Thank you!
