Evgenia Medvedeva

I think that everything has been said, but once again, incredible performance and above all a finale with a tension never seen before.
Zhenya really makes us live a roller coaster ride. Rarely seen such a brilliant figure skating personality.

Having said that, can someone translate what she says: https://vk.com/video-134487306_456239523?list=fb40867e4a266179b3
She literally cries at the end of the video.

She said that in FS she went as Anna Karenina in film (under the train). She will always remember this day because she left herself completely on the ice and she has nothing to regret about. I suppose she cries because the interview was taken just after the skate - and there was little time to regain composure after such recent emotional burst. In other words when you recently cried - it's really easy to begin crying again.
Also, judging by her instagram stream confessions - she is actually very emotional and a crybaby - not some iron lady as everyone perceived her. She cries often. Only usually it's not about skating.

She's tough when needed. That's plenty already. She's always been under immense pressure but still goes out and delivered almost every time, mistakes happened but never a disaster.
She may not perceive it as being strong, but imagine us being in her position, can we shoulder it like she always does?

For god sake I hope her team get her a new choreographer at least. They're turning around averbukh and danill only now, her programs are bound to have the same quirks and style, thus killing her diversity and development.

Also, as she grows, she'd be more liable to injuries and they wont heal as fast as before. Those intense training she'd been going through are not going to work, she'd get injured before getting consistent.
Her team needs to take it to account and work more smartly rather than let her adding more training time.

Anyone see the Skating Lesson ladies recap? They are so biased and against the Russian skaters. Osmond should have won? LOL

Nah I have no interest in anything TSL publishes. They are biased, rude and all they care about is number of views

I think the injury really took a toll on her, what a shame :(. If you look at how she was skating at the end of last year (leading up to the World Team Trophy), it was so perfect, the jumps were so secure...and at Euros and Olympics this year, it just was not the same. At the start of this year she was attempting all of her triple jumps with two arms over her head, but after the injury she stopped doing two arms almost entirely and did one arm for just the lutz and flip and two arms for the salchow. Her rippon 3F- rippon 3T was amazing too. No doubt she would have won the olympics if she was skating as well as she was 10 months ago.

Zhenya is officially the figure skater with the highest number of followers on IG, she just surpassed Adam Rippon! I'm happy so many people recognize how amazing she is!

I looked at Pooh and now I so confuse

Maybe she got it from Yuzuru?

But seriously, Evgenia looks like she has a hard time adapting to the situation. I hope Eteri has learned something from the Yulia experience and knows how to keep her on track.
