Evgenia Medvedeva

the only thing left is that will rusfed treat her well in the future?
It will be stupid if they don't, Evgenia still is the top lady and since the quadsters are still juniors, she (and Alina) can win them medals

:cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer: MY FAVORITE SKATER WITH MY FAVORITE COACH :cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer:

Words cannot express how happy I am that she's going to TCC! I've always wanted her to, and now that it's official I can say that I think it's the best move she could have made. Eteri has the quad-jumping juniors to focus on and Evgenia could have started to stall. BOrser and Tracy have a much more humane approach to skating and she's finally going to get to work with new choreography! I'm thrilled.

I also have to say props to Evgenia for having GUTS. This is a bold, gutsy move to go to Canada by herself when all the other Russian ladies aren't. GOOD LUCK ZHENYA! This will be an incredible adventure!

AAAAAA I'M SO HAPPY! :hap10::hap10:

I'm going with Shae-Lynn too

Super excited for a possible Shae-Lynn program for Evgenia !

Guys, this is not official. I have been thinking about this comp ever since I became a fs fan but in my eyes it's just too good to be true and I don't want to get all excited for nothing...Russia is scary af. You never know what they're capable of. These speculations will be the end of me untill official news come out

Maybe the recent proposals about quality are another reason Med's switching. In which case, huge props for playing the game and knowing what's what, Med.

Wow, what news! I was looking to take a tour of the club in Toronto with a view to signing up a few months ago and then forgot about it. More incentive now!

Wow. I'll be honest and say I'm not disappointed at all, because I really do think she's outgrown Eteri. She needs better choreographers and more advanced training if she wants to stay on top...Eteri's methods may work exceptionally well on junior skaters, but when has she ever had a successful adult skater?

Regardless, I'm worried about what the ramifications of this decision could be. I don't want another situation like Yulia's. Either way, I'm happy Zhenya took the initiative. I'll support her no matter what!

At the 2018 Winter Olympic Games, when she coached the gold and silver medalists.

That said, I'm excited for Zhenya! :hap93: I think what Yagudin said makes perfect sense; it would be unbearably tense to keep training with Alina, and no matter how hard Eteri tried, she would almost certainly help one more than the other; she is only human. This way, Zhenya gets entirely out of that environment and has a completely fresh start on everything. If she was a weaker person, I would be nervous for her, but she is so psychologically strong that I think she will totally rock this transition, this thorough upheaval of her life. She must be completely beside herself with excitement and anticipation--a new coach, a new country, a new choreographer, a new lease on her skating life. Way to take life by the horns! Good luck, Zhenya; I know you will do well! :hap10:

Holy cow, it actually happened! Wow this is groundbreaking news for the figure skating world, next season is gonna be something huh. The only thing I know is that whoever gets to be her new coach has a treasure in their hands and I really hope they know that!

Well, well, Zhenya must know what she is doing, I'm complete amateur just sitting at the computer. But still, as I have said previously, when any lady coached by Orser did anything on the level Zhenya is now (no, do not even try to mention that korean girl :dev2: ). And his current ladies are just average, the best I can say about them. I hope my distrust in this decision will be completely beaten by the results because of course I do not wish anything bad to Zhenya, but I have my, probably completely irrational and amateur, doubts.

On the other hand, it would be interresting what that decision will do with one particular canadian youtube channel

Wait it appears that she’s going to be staying at Sambo70 and not go to Orser?! What is going on

Funny enough last night I was rewatching Evgenia's SP team event and after she finishes and goes to get her stuff, you can see Orser smiling in the background watching her and I thought "imagine if she goes to TCC" lol
