It definitely is depressing :( But the truth is we don't know how this decision will turn out. The only thing we know for sure is that it was the only sensible move; maybe it won't be successful, but it wouldn't have been either if she'd stayed in Russia. So let's just enjoy her decision, support her and wait for the next season / olympics :)

There are really frightening comments, but at least her VK zhenya continues to have support, and her fans are growing.
I'm sure that as long as Evgenia continues to win, those comments will disappear. When Zhenya debuted and beat Radionova, Elizaveta and Yulia, everyone called her a usurper. Then she kept winning and winning, magically everyone loved her.
The negativity will pass. Zhenya has a great future ahead, a loving mother who left everything to accompany her daughter in this challenge, many fans, and a great team that will work with her.
It will be a difficult path, but she is strong.
I'm looking forward to the new season (:

My English is very poor, so I wanted confirmation, because I think I remember that her mom has a very good job. You're probably right. :)
 
She has one season of almost guaranteed top place, but after Trusova, Alenka and Anna Scherbakova move up into seniors, she will face with extreme quad and triple axel BV talent. This is also a threat to Zagitova, because Eteri's juniors are now landing different types of quads.

Me too, New Zealand only makes a big deal about Rugby and cricket and stuff [emoji23] we’ve only had like 3 people in history make it to international competition for FS lol

Brian said they would try and he has already taken a look at Zhenya's lutz. He said that it won't be easy, but Zhenya seems very open to change and that's a great place to start :yes:
 
I saw videos from China (weibo) and of course Japan news and they all seemed very supportive of her. That's good to see.

I'm happy that Evgenia was able to choose her own direction at the end, unlike some of Eteri's other former students who had to deal with major psychological and physical damage. The road ahead of her won't be easy, and she will receive harsh criticisms whenever she makes mistakes in competitions in the next year (I'm sure people won't even wait for a year to see the results of her training) but if she can endure all of these minor upsets, she can have a much longer, happier career.
