Evgenia Medvedeva

I've finally watched the performance at home with headphones and I was so moved. It's obvious that she's telling her own story and that she's ready to write a new chapter. I think that it's great that she choreographed it and she did an amazing job! She's a good storyteller and she's a great interpreter.

I think her hairdo really suited her too!

Her jumps look a little tentative, as they should since she's started jumping again barely 3 weeks ago! The fact that she can already do triples gives me a lot of hope and I honestly can't wait to see what she does with Wilson and, of course, Brian and Tracy!

Fully agree. Spins looks good, jumps for three week also okay.

Regarding her body, I noticed more muscle, which I only can welcome.

Her caption on the EX picture:

In this room is the soul was invested.
I want to say many thanks to @averbukhofficial for music🎼 and Elena Staniloslavovna Maslenikova for professional help❤️

Love Zhenya's "Experience". It was a moving performance and I am glad she is back with jumps.
Not to sound too greedy but is there a video of her performance with the gray lilac dress?

I was wondering about that performance too, since I had to close the stream halfway through

What does that slap mean?

If the program tells her own story, for me the part where she's trapped and gets a slap is a representation of the last season, with her injury being the trap she can't escape and the slap being the Olympics  And the last part represents her erasing the "Russian" part of her story and moving on

Beautiful program ! :luv17:

No, it is totally was about what was happening after Olympics. It is telling that chosen music is OST from "Mommy". The slap is the ending point of the attempted dialogue.

You might totally be right, but it seems to me that the first half of the program is way too joyful to represent the period of time after the Olympics... Why would she draw a smiling face at the time she lost both the Olympics and her World title? :scratch2: And it wasn't exactly her state of mind at the time, judging by interviews...

Hmm, for me she is seemed not very pleased with drawing smiling face. May be it is about what she had to show on public.

She's also smiling during the first half, and that wouldn't be logical with your theory  But I really like your explanation about the face, you may be right ;)

And it doesn't matter, the meaning is the same for both our explanation: she's moving on and leaving her former life with bravery

I'll also give it a try :agree:

initial writing with kind of excited expression - the beginning of the Olympic season, a lot of dreams/expectations of how it's going to be (it's going to be glorious)
1:14 - taking the dream/the future in the hands (it's up to you to achieve what you want)
skating with the feather pen - it's all well, still writing the story as planned
1:49 - something unexpected comes in, spins her world around (injury)
still skating with the feather pen - I am fighting (skating despite the injury)
no feather pen - her story changes, it's not according to the plan anymore, still fighting (struggling with RusFed/team, not being able to compete and missing Nationals)
2:19 jump and then the music gets intense, as well her interpretation, smile on the face - I am back, I'll give everything, I am happy to be here (Europeans maybe?)
2:38 - 2:51 - enjoying every minute of this experience, I gave everything (Olympics)
3:24 - struggle (Olympics lost)
slap on the face - betrayal, lost trust, a fight with a beloved one (definitely Eteri)
erasing the initial story - moving forward (Canada!)

The part with the slap on the face can be interpreted differently. Losing the Olympics fits as well, since it was like a reality check.

I think the first half is about her expectation, how she wanted to win the Olympics and how, for some time, we could have said her victory was already "written"... the second half is about the post olympic time, how she found herself stuck in a bad situation, slapped/betrayed by the person she trusted the most (her coach)...

And in the end she decides to take back her life, and make it her own way.
