Evgenia Medvedeva

She seemed to be very nervous before SP but what a performance !!! She never stops surprising!

I'm so impressed she went for the rippon +3T! She didn't need it to win the SP, if anything it's a riskier move she's never done in competition, but of course she nailed it. I can't wait to see her upgrade other combos in the future to compete with Alina.

She might not. Orser was talking to Bet at 4CC that next year there may be new rules about tano/rippon so we're going to have to wait and see what's going to happen there. I love how her Rippon looks though, so as I think one pass will probably still be allowed, hopefully she'll keep that.

Ygh I hate it! Zhenya already showed during Nationals and Europeans that some rules just don't allow this sport to develop. I know that some people say that tano/rippons are overused to get points but if they were easy every skater would do them.

But even without them if Evgenia will work on her Lutz edge and master 3Lz-3Lo she still will be unreachable for the majority of currently skating ladies. Not to mention she is working on quad Sachow. I know that number of female skaters do it but I'm still waiting for successful quad Sal at competition.

What will be next? Limiting number of quads in men's programs?
