You can do a 2A-3T and a 2A-1Eu-3S, for example. But only three of the seven jumping passes can be combinations, so that’s two of your three combinations already.

and also, you can make two 3-3 and two 3-2 maximum (or am I wrong in this part?)
I have not repeated any jump by itself, so there is no Zayak.

No. Three jump combinations maximum in the free skate. Only one three jump combination is allowed. Two combinations are allowed to contain up to two jumps, one combination up to three. Four of the seven jumping passes have to be solo jumps.

if so, what a pity, it would limit a lot, and zhenya should then eliminate 3-2-2 and add a 2t to 2A-3Lo (like Kaori's combo), a 2A-3Lo is only 8.20, a 3-2- 2 is at least an 8.50, and the 3S-3T 8.50. So, what would a 2A-3Lo serve if you can not add to the other combos' !!!!

A 3-2-2 combo is more difficult and would likely be best performed earlier in the programme. Also, -2T-2Lo combos can be risky due to issues with URing the 2Lo (and I personally find -2T-2Lo combos ugly no matter who does them, as the 2Lo always comes off labored and lands with no flow).

The thing about maximum BV layouts is that you have to take into account what the skater can perform and how to beat leverage the 10% BV bonus for the final three jumping passes — otherwise, Nathan Chen would be doing 4Lz-4T, 4Lz-3T, and 4F-3T as his last three jumps (or, god help us all, 4Lz-4F [emoji23]).

That’s indeed what happened. Along with half-loop/1Eu sequences being scored as combinations (100% BV rather than 80%).

So yuna (post 2010) had to do 3Lz3T, 2A2T2lo 3S2T. (She repeated 2 3Lz and 2 3S) Her layout was something like this:
3Lz3T 3F 3S2T 3Lz 2A2T2Lo 3S 2A (I don't know the exact order)

Honestly the 2a-3lo isn't stressing me out as much as the other jumps. Never thought I would say that, but it looks soooo solid.

So, in the span she has switched to Orser we have seen the following loop combinations:

Double axel - Triple loop
Triple sal - Triple loop

She reportedly did a (people said she did, no video):

Triple lutz - Triple loop

I wonder, what's next? As much as the 2a-3lo combo looks great, I'd love for her to do a 3f-3lo heading into Russian Nationals.

It’s odd that we haven’t seen the 3f+3lo yet, especially when we’ve seen the 3lz+3lo (a lot of people at SCI saw it). I wonder if there’s a reason behind it? Because she’s basically practiced a loop on the end of every other jump. If she could get the flip+loop combo down, her tech in the short will skyrocket and the long too if she does both in the bonus

Since my twitter is always on private, I first decided to just take videos for myself so i can watch them later and remember the moments but i thought it would be a shame not to share videos with others, after all that's how i have been surviving as a fan for years, via videos of people who attended competitions :)

And people keep saying she made a mistake going to Canada just because she's not breaking world records now :p

I thought i saw a video of her doing 3lz-3lo in practice at Skate Canada, or was it 3f-3lo? i don't remember properly!

Yes, I also think the same about her 3Lo combos, they have more distance and they are also aesthetically more appreciable.
But 2A-3Lo by itself has no higher BV than 3-2-2 or 3S-3T, if only 3 combos are allowed (either 3-3 or 3-2), the only option left is put a 2T to 2A-3Lo and leave it as a 2-3-2(Something similar to Karoi's combo), and also delete the 3f-2t-2t , and left it a solo triple.Or wait for this new combo to get much more GOE than the ones it already uses, but for that they must put it to the test in some competition and see how much the jump value can go up. It really does not make the layout much more flexible.




I think a 3S-3Lo, gives her more game options.

I hope that in the future they stop limiting combos, it's unfair, too, people complain that girls want to learn quads and 3Axels, but, What else can they do if the rules for the triples are so limiting?? if transforming a 2A into a triple, you can have 8 triples (and bigger bv), and if you do a quad, you can continue doing the other 7 triples.

*putting a shy 2t to one of the solo triples should not be a big drama, come on isu*
