Evgenia Medvedeva

Thanks, cameraman, for focusing so much on her! She's practicing her spins quite a lot. Hope we don't see any Vs this time.

3S-3Lo and 2A-3T combo? Did she change her layout again? I think you got them right because this layout seems more likely than 3Lo-3Lo as the combo and 3S as the solo jump. So, 2A-3T in the bonus half? I‘ll have to watch it, too!

Is there any stream on youtube or will I have to wait until I‘m home to get a Vpn and watch the Russian one?

Wow at her changing the layout again, though. That‘s both scary and exciting.

Yeah that was the layout. I agree that it's scary, I think she needs more repetition too. I hope that if this is successful or at least nearly clean they should stick to it and practice it more like that.

She had a clean runthrough. Omg she just did a 2 Axel + 3 Toe after the runthrough. The height was unreal.
3Lutz . 3 Salchow + 3 loop. 3 Flip + 2toe + 2toe. 3loop. 2axel + 3 toe. 3flip. 2 axel.
I think???

Could be that I mistook a salchow for a loop or other way around. I swear it is so hard for me to differentiate them sometimes
That’s....quite a strange layout for her. Completely abandoning 3F3T, which I know has been giving her trouble but it’s still in the SP so she has to train it anyways. And on top of that all 3 combos are completely new??? Iono. On paper this layout may be less backloaded and safer, but not sure it actually makes sense :scratch2:

The landing leg (right in most cases, Evgenia as well) would be next to or slightly in the front and all the weight is on the left at take off for the Sal. The right knee goes up and the crossed leg position is achieved in the air by bringing the right leg behind the left.

Right foot is under you carrying all the weight and the left is in the front, already crossed for the Loop.

I hate the Sal with a passion and do not understand how it is the easiest jump :D

Zhenya and Brian are stressing me out with these layout changes lol. She's still repeating Loop & Flip which is good. But I'm very happy with the clean practice, I still really enjoy her tango, the step sequence in it is the highlight of the season for me.

Yeah, honestly, they should just stick to one layout and then train it. This constant changing can‘t be good for her either, she needs repetition. Can‘t say I‘m assured now but oh well... It will be what it will be. At least practice was clean but it was like that all the time and competition still gave her trouble. Not sure whether it will translate to competition this time but I strongly hope so. Stop stressing me out, Brian, it‘s not funny, my poor nerves!!

Thank you so much - I think she looks quite good! I am generally not fond of tangos, but this one works for me, perhaps bc she’s not doing a lot of literal “tango” moves. I especially like the st sq at the end. The spins she did look well centered, and to me, at least, her jumps look lighter and easier than they used to - she seems to be using her legs more and her back and arms less. She’s still a work in progress, and maybe she’ll regress a bit in competition, but this definitely shows where she’s headed. Fingers crossed for tomorrow! :)

Oh wow, she's not out there to play. :D

I must say that while the constant layout changes are stressful, this does seem to be one that makes the most sense and that she has the most ease with. Everything looked extremely easy for her in practice, hopefully that'll translate to competition *prayer circle*

I wonder if anyone was relieved that there are no Sambo skaters (and along that no Sambo coaches) in this last practice group.
