Oh gosh, that slide towards the boards didn't look too inviting (both of them) ... very unlike her. Sometimes all it takes is one thing to go wrong to create a cascading effect in a program.
 
Her body and mind must be dead tired and ready to get the season over with so bad it's phasing her concentration. She must still be red in the face from embarrassment :hopelessness: . Just one more Evgenia. You are the best :biggrin:

They have similar speech as well...could it be fate? But seriously, this is so uncharacteristic...but not too surprising. Good thing she was rock solid for all the ones that counted.
 
Congratulations to Evgenia on the next excellent routine and on the victory in FS and on the silver in result! Despite the made mistakes in the SP, she managed to gather today and to make everything well (even better than at the JrWorlds, in my opinion)

I agree. It's wonderful to see Evgenia hanging tough and fighting back after such a rough SP with a really nice and clean LP. Better to make mistakes in the SP than the LP since it it worth only half as much. It also gives her a final solid, clean skate to remember for next year. Hopefully, the competition will be a big character builder for her. She was bound to make some mistakes after so many clean skates and she dealt with it very weil.

MOSCOW, 27 Apr - R-sport, Maria Vorobyova. The reigning Junior World champion the Russian figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva declared "R-sport" that next season she goes the senior skating.
Last season Ms. Medvedeva won all the Junior competitions, including the Junior GPF and the JrWorlds, and was third at the SrNationals.
"Next season I turn into the senior skating. I made everything that was necessary in the junior level, put a good point (by the victory at the Junior Worlds), but now we need to raise the bar", - told Medvedeva by phone.
"It seems to me, there are always some chances to compete for a win at any level - how I will work, how will I be ready for the season - so will be. The main goal - to be selected to the Europeans and the Worlds. I won't guess how things turn out, but I will work to the maximum," – the athlete added.
Also Medvedeva noted that "it is definitely nice to her to win all junior events in the season"
"Although in the long run, I go and work every day just for this. In general the season has developed exactly as it was planned. Most pleased with the victory in the JGPF because it preceded the main events of the season. And, of course, the bronze of the RusNats - there was a strong wish to ascend to the podium. I went to these competitions just to benefit a medal", - the athlete concluded.
Asking to a question, whether she intends to complicate her jumping set, Evgenia replied “It’s the main thing for me – my health. I have not tried to do more complex jumps yet, but if the health allows me, everything is possible”
"We have already started setting of new programs, it is always easier to make it before leaving on vacation. Also I try to learn something new for the next season. It is important for me to enhance the skill, that is to improve what I am able now", - Evgenia added.
Medvedeva stressed that the training will last until May 15. "Very soon I will go for a vacation, just a couple of weeks left to work on. And then, when I return, we immediately go to the training camp in Novogorsk and will continue preparing for the new season", - said the skater.
