But what would her relationship with Yulia and Elena have to do with her liking Kpop and Anime? Yes, Yulia and Zhenya aren't BFFs but everyone has known that for a while. Same with Elena (and even then Zhenya showed great sportsmanship when she defended Elena against her own fans).
There is no possibility of her just acting like a regular teenager? It's incredibly common to see girls who like Kpop, anime and/or Korean dramas. When I was 16-17 I was absolutely obsessed with Kpop and I still enjoy listening to some groups :shrug: besides, watching anime can be very time consuming, I doubt you could keep up with it if you didn't love it (even if they tried to 'make' you), specially someone who has as little free time as Zhenya.

In other news, seems like Zhenya has started watching Korean dramas too :laugh:

Even if not, it's a solid move in public relationships. We have a lot of coincidences going on here! No skater from any other country and not even the Japanese have those preferences and even if they did, what are the odds they would happily engage in conversations about it in their social media, a lot? That's even rarer. Moreover she is Russian. Russia is a unique and interesting country with amazing people, but the Russian government is suspicious to me. Yulia and Elena showing contempt to their own team mate (!) and no one else, is also suspicious to me and speaks of another coincidence. I am sorry. Seems like too many coincidences to me. :confused:

Seriously, why is it so hard for some people to believe that she genuinely likes/loves anime and k-pop and drama? And regarding her and the other Russian girls...:laugh2: Seriously, stop being so suspicious of everything little detail, and get real.

No skater, not the Japanese or Koreans, have openly shown such preferences. Rises suspicions in me.
What are the odds to happily share these preferences all over social media and in exhibitions? Another flag.
The Russian government shady? Yes. In this sport? Sochi says yes. More suspicions for me.
Is she kinda a flagship of Russian figure skating, not a random Russian person, but very important for the Russian federation? Yes.

Zhenya seemed great in practice (jet lag doesn't seem to affect her much!). So hopefully she will have a great competition here :yes:
