I would love to see her jumping quad! Even though Zhenya herself said that she tried to jump 4S only with a harness, I am sure she is actually training it seriously. But I doubt she will include it in her programms for the Olympic season. Maybe we will be able to see her jumping it during the training sessions in future competitions though. I am sure she is all fired up now after she saw Elisabeth's quads during training session at Words

I also think that she is training the 4S seriously now as in the press conference her coach said that they are not planning but is actually heading in that direction. Also, Tutberidze said that if Evgenia land it and rotate it consistently they might even put it in the program. I would love to see her do a quad at a gp event where the level of competition is low, but at the Olympic, I would want her to stick to her basic just to be safe.

She surely did. After all they live and work in the same city. And they both attend all oficial FFKKR events.

Her teammates are doing Anna 4t-4t-3lo and Alexandra 4S-3t. And Anna also learning a 4Lz, And Alexandra 3a and 4t...
And she can see them every day)))
so I can imagine how motivated she is)) As she said: "For me, competition is always good, to see how my rivals work, my future rivals. I understand what kind of bar you need to set for yourself. I know that I still have a lot to learn. Competition does not irritate me, but it spurs me."

And I remember Alina said: " I try to keep up with the little ones, those who train in our group. I look at them and if they do something better than me, then I try to do it even better. We have such a game at trainings."

They're pushing each other forward. Everyday they compete with each other) It's pretty good.

Hello everyone! I am new here. I've been stalking this and other threads since December but decided to join only now. I am a huge Evgenia and Yuzuru fan. These two skaters inspire me a lot. I am actually new to figure skating and I don't really know much about technical stuff but I learned to differenciate some jumps and know the names of some moves (just some XD). I went to Helsinki to watch World championship and it was an unforgettable experience. I did not see the competition for ladies but I watched the gala. Zhenya is truly magical and you can feel that she is on another level. I also saw how much hate she gets in instagram and youtube and it actually shocked me. Like why this young wonderful girl gets all this unnecessary hate? By the way, I am Russian currently living in London and I have a decent level of English (I hope) so I can help with traslation if it's needed. Also is there any good analysis of Zhenya's short and long programme?

It's too bad that some people make negative comments about Evgenia, but I've noticed that this often happens when someone or something is too famous. People then like to keep going on about how they don't like it, as if it proves that they are somehow smarter than the mainstream.

Off topic but I wonder if Evgenia and Yuzuru keep in touch outside of skating rink? I hope that Yuzuru will have at least one show together with Zhenya. Their interactions are so interesting to watch :luv17:

Yeah that makes sense but part of me hopes that they text each other sometimes. Probably just me being a bit delusional I am also curious if there any fancam of Yuzu watching Zhenya free skate during WTT? or maybe her watching his SP? It would interesting to watch their reactions.

They definitely text or @ each other when they're not in the same competition. Remember Misha Ge and Yuzuru doing the Sailor Moon pose for her at 4CC and it was posted on Misha's insta and Evgenia reposted it on her Instagram.

Yeah, it sounds to me like it's Misha and Zhenya I'm so sad he will be retiring, aside from his skating and his wonderful attitude, I will miss the 'Gang pictures' of these three. They seemed like they had a lot of fun, and neither of them are afraid of coming off as dorky. Hopefully, even if Misha no longer competes, he will get invited to banquet and such with them :yes:

Yuzuru has a Line account. Zhenia also has a Line account. I think they do chat via Line.

Well, I just hope that after the Olympic and if Evgenia were to win gold people could recognize that it's a new era of figure skating and that they could stop bring up the incidents in Sochi and Yuna.

I doubt that. I try not to think about it but I see how things are now especially on instagram... I'm really concerned that our girl will have to face hell from some crazy people next year... But isn't she our iron super girl? She will fight back for sure.

And on the positive note, I would love to get some pictures with Yuna and Zhenya together because they are my favorite ladies.

It's still early for olympic talks though...

I really hope she will rest for real now and keep her peace of mind.

As a devout Yulia Lipnitskaya fan, I can honestly say I do not blame Evgenia at all for what happened between Yulia and Eteri as it quite simply wasn't her fault. While Yulia will always be the Ice Queen for me personally, I do still respect and support Evgenia and all her wonderful achievements. My problem is with Eteri, not Evgenia.

Was their relationship bad (I mean Yulia's and Evgenia's)? I wasn't really active in figure skating after Sochi up to this season but I remember TSL gossip boy's saying some things about them.

Well, in a Russian social network called vk they did not add each other to their friend's list. They also do not follow each other on instagram. So I doubt they are close. But I also think that they don't hate each other. Just keep distance.

About that TSL gossip guy I thought that he didn't like Zhenya but lately he reposts about her a lot and he also praised her. I don't really know how I should react to that. But I definitely don't like how he gossips behind their back:dev2:.

Your photos are great! I hope that there are more games in which the EX practice is public (like GPF) next season.
