After skating you acknowledge that such high scores (WTT) for you were the surprise. If you look at the protocol, there are many dozens. What does this mean for you?
- That I raised the level of my skating. However, I understand that I have room to grow. It is necessary to complicate the program. I'm not the most sophisticated set. In fact, there are so many things on which I need to work, you need to improve. Something new to learn, something new to be inserted into the program.

What do you think, due to what can complicate the program?
- Cascades. I need to correct lutz. I, however, was not the first time talking about it, but it must be done. Yes, I have not the most difficult set, and I understand that.
You once said you loved silence.
- Yes, I do love. I was not always so. Previously loved parties, noisy companies. And this year, as I said, my life has changed and I have changed myself. Ceased to love a large crowd of people. Therefore me and pulls Japan, Asia, nature, rock gardens ... All this gives me peace of mind.

I have a feeling that next season we will see a completely new Zhenya. She will be more mature, sublime, and elegant. Her programs will have a completely different style and layout of the jumps, more complicated combos (it would be interesting to see her do a tano program). Smart of her to go to Japan and gain some "peace of mind;" these experiences might really help her deal with the pressure in the Olympic season.
:palmf: If only people could read her interview and understand how hard she is working on correcting lutz.

This is interesting...and I can't help but wonder why such a change occurred. Too much media attention, maybe? Zhenya, to me, is such a bright, extraverted, and friendly person that it feels odd knowing that she doesn't like high-energy environments anymore. I associate her with nothing but energy so to me this is quite a surprise! :scratch2: I can only hope that it's a change that came from maturing and nothing else. :)

I hope she is able to properly relax before entering the Olympic season...all eyes are going to be on her so I want her to be in mental top form! She'll be under more pressure than ever so I have high hopes that she continues her winning streak that she's got going on right now. Olympic pressure is something completely different than the norm and I pray that she can handle it...we're so used to warrior Zhenya that we often forget how young she is and that pressure can get the best of anyone. Fingers crossed that she makes it through like usual. :hap10:

Absolutely. I also consider Zhenya as a high energy person; this change is probably due to maturing and maybe training/expectations that she just needed some quiet time to relax. But her personality is still the same. She's still as friendly, lovely, bright and most importantly still loves animes. I'm glad that she is going to Japan and have some "peace of mind" which could really help her mentality heading into the Olympic. I have no doubt that she could continue her winning streak as in the article she said that "this season was special to her and she expects nothing less for the next."

She said many times that she working on it but they think she could change it in a day but choose not to do it :palmf:

Learning a new thing hard enough but if you learn something wrong and then try to fix it - it will be harder and takes more time
She doesn't have magical wand to wave around and fix her lutz
She has one weakness and everybody use it to be mean to her :dev2:
