I dont think so. I think that she just hates losing so she said that she is also practicing quad jump.
She said about 4Lz when she asked about Anna Shcherbakova who did 4T-3T-3Lo.

what's the point of practicing something if you're not going to apply it....maybe not now where OGM is at risk but maybe later after the PC2018 we'll be seeing her with a quad

but there's always some reasons to practice something
at practice in WC she did some crazy combos 3F-1Lo-3S-3T-1Lo-3S and 3S-1Lo-3F-3T
3Lz-3Lo-3Lo, 3F-3T-3Lo, 3Lz-3T-3Lo
But she can't do it in the competition. still, it's her way to train jumps... to keep them consistent. why not?

That show was so much fun haha I like how Noda was so friendly with her as well. I want to see them having fun tgt at foi in Niigata :yay: Her talking about 4lz is so surprising. But if I heard her correctly she said that she is only trying to jump it and the landing is no clean. She added that even if she can't lend it now at least she is trying to develop. It was a bit hard to understand what she was saying since they applied japanese voice over right away so I am not 100% sure if what I heard is right

It's not that easy... Skaters work seasons to fix it. But I know she's capable of improving it and I really pray for her.

I feel like Zhenya is not that type of person to say something that isn't true even if she doesn't like to lose, so if she said she is practicing a quad lutz I believe her (although I prefer her to work on her better jump - sal or flip). I doubt that she and Eteri would risk and put a quad in the Olympic season, and they don't need it to win. Although I am very glad to hear that she is actually practicing/attempting it now because after the Olympic she will most likely need it to stay at the top and go for a second Olympic game.
If she were to put in a quad next season, I would be really terrified for her. I don't want her to end up like Mao Asada who has great talent but fell on a 3A in the short program at the Olympic and never winning the gold.

I also think that she is actually trying to jump different quads not only lutz or sal. I'm sure she has lots of things to surprise us with.

Ok, untill like 3 weeks ago I've never read any figure skating online discussions/forums, but I'm hugely surprised about how toxic/full of hate the discussions can get LOL, especially considering that this is such an elegant sport... Things almost get as heated as in football discussions and I always thought those are the worst
