Evgenia Medvedeva

They are all great music!! :hap85: Now, I am really curious how they are blending this music together and her chorography to it. I definitly love it. :yahoo:
She said that programm will more difficult. In first part only one jump. So the first part will musically relax. Second more stormy. I hope![emoji4]

Dona Nobis Pacem 2 gave me goosebumps. Whoa. I haven't actually seen the Leftovers, so I wasn't familiar with the music, and it's gorgeous. I wonder how it'll fit in the final music cut. It seems like it'd fit well as the ending portion?

Edit: Actually, I think it'll be edited in the way it was announced. January Stars, Departure, Dona Nobis Pacem 2 to end.

Wow!! I just listened to the music again and it is just wonderful. I love the ending of Dona Nobis Pacem 2; it will be a great ending to her FS.

Jumps in a new season, SP without changes (0+3). For LP 1+7.

Will the 3Lz be her only jump in the first half, or will she change it up and use the single 2A there, so she has the better points jump in the second half?

New interview: http://www.fsrussia.ru/intervyu/3029-evgeniya-medvedeva-legkij-put-ne-vsegda-pravilnyj.html

Zhenya said that for the sp all elements will be the same. For FP, her first 3-3 will be moved to the second half meaning she will only have one jump in the first half. I hope this is not the only thing that changed. I really want to see new jump combs, layout, and spins cuz she is capable of it.

I also hope for some new jump combinations. I really love Zhenya and her skating but if I get the same choreo for the 3rd year in a row I'll get a stroke. Seriously... she is capable of much more than 2A-2T-2T! She showed some pretty stable -3Lo combinations in practice. I have the same issue with Ashley Wagner. Her 2016/17 FS had almost the same layout as her 2015/16 FS.

I really like her music choices, especially January Stars, it's so gorgeous and I think it suits her really well.

I think the layout would change since she moved the 1st combo to the second half. IMO the jump combinations wounld most likely be the same since it is the Olympic season and her team wants to play it save. For me, I would rather see new jump combinations than new layout.

Info: Zhenya is actually the 2nd figure skater ever to make the list of 50 Most Marketable Athlete. The 1st was Yuna.

I'm not that excited about SP music choice. I guess they just want to play it safe next year. The only way it can work for me is very good and interesting choreo. Now I really can't wait for September. :dumb:

And I'm so in love with her FS music choices :luv17::love:. I wonder what story they chose to tell us next year...

Regarding the layout, as much as I'm disappointed that Zhenya and Eteri decided to keep the same combinations, I can understand that. She already has too much pressure on her shoulders and she's still so young. The most important thing is to skate clean and bring a good performance. That's how she can make it to the olympic team and get to the top of the podium. She can take risks and work on other jumps on another season. I'm actually relieved now. I was feeling anxious about her practicing dangerous elements. Now I can sleep well.

I thought the same. Very uninspired choice. I still like the music, so I guess we'll just have to see what she does with it... I'm sure it could be great.

To be honest I can't wait more for her EX program. She usually has funny, entertaining programs while Anna Karenina sounds more mature and dramatic.

Nocturne no. 20 c sharp minor is my favorite Chopin piece! I've always wanted someone to skate to this and I always imagined it to be a very melancholic skate. I hope Evgenia will go for a soulful choreo but I think Evgenia choreo team might interpret it into some kind of sad storyline but plz no miming in it.
