So Zhenya is human after all :laugh: And still you could see, why she's such a fantastic skater! This programme is top quality from start to finish and not too dramatic. In my opinion that fits her better than these apocalyptic pieces she normally uses. I don't think she would have laughed during 9/11 and it would have been a real pity to miss her lovely smile.
 
after watching her FS, I was a bit hesitant with the FS change but wow,
This is her Best FS Program in her career yet !

it is the same, but yeah this suits her so much, and different from what she has done for the past 2 seasons !
 
I have to say it again, I really really really love this LP. I don't think any other girl could do it, you've to be as expressive as Evgenia is.
The dress is so beautiful too :love:

This is an important point. Skating right before Carolina, a skater with such a personal skating style, I thought Zhenya was equally unique in her interpretation -- that step sequence was like opening an window into the story. I don't know how she manages to do it alongside her technical content.

Overall I am so over the moon about this program change, now more than ever. This is the kind of program that the Olympic audience will understand and love.
 
I love her new dress- but gloves not that much
I usually like her gloves but this one is little loose on the hands , hope she will change it

She can skate to any program or any music but I really like this fs
 
She has a tradition to fall on a double axel once a year. Now I feel calm for her Olympics.

This time she started laughing even before she faced the ice. :biggrin:

I was absolutely prepared to show my maximum today, but something went wrong."
 
She was completely in command of that rink, it was glorious! Honestly glorious!

And the way she laughed while she fell was the most brilliant thing ever. Honestly, this girl. This girl. Tsarina.

PS I adore the dress. Black is perfect, perfect.
 
Her program looks amazing live from the arena. She's such a talented performer!!!
Despite the fall she looked very happy and calm .
 
TAT's monologue after Evgenia's FS. I hope you'd understand why we Russians don't mind much her chatting during programs. :)

"This [fall] doesn't go well with her at all. But within the meaning [of Anna Karenina] she could have fallen and stayed down there. I still cannot understand where this little thin young lady gets such energy which she multiplies all the way until the end. Each performed element makes her stronger, and stronger, and stronger, she doesn't spend her power, but gains it. How does this baby manage to do it? It can only be done with an inhumanely hard work and a very deep understanding of self. She passes from an element to an element - rejoicing, apparently - but overcoming herself, she does it in a unique manner. In my whole long life on ice I haven't seen such athletes, I've never seen her tired - she never gets tired, because she charges from the performed elements; she charges with some inner energy which she instantly shares with us."
