And now they’re hinting at “strategies” and the like. Every time I think this forum couldn’t astonish me even more, they prove me wrong. Even when she’s injured she’s not given a break. I’m so done right now.

I feel you.
I can't stand it.

Zhenya, if you ever read this, ignore the haters and know that we love you! just the way you are!

Better not to bother about what others say because :palmf: I hope that with some rest the injury can heal well, even if she has to skip the GPF, nothing is gonna change, she'll be the favourite going to the Olys. I said the same with Yuzu's injury, they have to see the big picture and be healthy, that's what matters.

:ghug:

she MUST just skip anything what needed before Olympics to heal properly and win the freaking Olympics. Zhenya not winning Olympics will be the biggest injustice in history for me...

If I were her I'd be like ciao until PyeongChang. I think her spot on the team is safe as long as she can compete there. But in terms of competition wear and tear, she'd have GPF, Russian Nats, AND Euros to think about, not to mention the team event in PC before the ladies singles there.

I just don't know what to say. She must feel so sad right now.
But she should take care of her health first of all...

Another devastating news, so many skaters are struggling with injuries or sudden sickness, a weird season so far...
Just wishing to Zhenya speedy recovery!
Hope, she receives a required help and care if needed abroad.
I agree with the majority that she needs to skip GPF and even Russian championship if needed.

We always here to support her.:ghug:

Zhenya... :hopelessness: :sad21:

I wish her a speedy recovery and if there's any chance it'll aggravate what appears to be only a stress fracture for now, I wish she reconsiders her wish to go to GPF in order to completely heal before the Olympics, which is far more important than GPF.

Terrible news. Wish her a cool head to make a right choice (fully recover and only then compete)

ugh!! Poor Zhenya :( I knew something wasnt right. I hope she skips the gpf cause that is the most sensible thing to do. Please rest and heal up till nationals and most importantly Olympics!

WTH is wrong with this season?, why my favorite skaters just have to endure dis :sad4:

So upset to read this news today, poor Zhenya! I hope she doesn’t compete in Japan unless she is 100% healed. As someone else mentioned, if she appears to be healthy but isn’t, she will be sent to nationals, euros and only team event most likely before she ever sets foot on the ice for her solo skate a time olys. That’s a lot of skating and training!

The worst thing would be to compete at Japan in the final, not get her jumps done and lose:slink:

This is starting too look like Michelle Kwan. She also had a broken foot before 98 Olympics. And then ended up losing to 15 year old Lipinsky.

Oh my, poor Zhenya. I am hoping she can heal quickly, and evaluate whether competing at the GPF or not will be wise. She will probably need to be at Nats, so perhaps it would be best to let the injury heal as much as possible until then.
Regardless, I trust her and her team to make the wisest choice
