Evgenia Medvedeva

Still inside when she takes off :(. But not bad enough to get called I guess.
in real time it looks like outside. even when you watch in 0.5 speed.
so I think it's good enough)

for me the most important to see how happy she is. And how much she smiles. She looks really good!

Yup, the importance is still her physical and metal heath. But there may still be tears behind the smiles given how demanding she is :(. Zhenya you can do it!
Her spins still travel...why though.

I always have the same question but does anyone have a link available in Europe in order to see the competition ? Thank you so much

Evgenia skated her heart out in the FS, and even though she made some little mistakes (due to, I assume, nerves and being back from an injury), I have no doubt that she's only gonna get better for OG. 154 is still an incredible score for the FS. I'm very proud of her!

Pcs is a joke. Thank you so much isu.
Zhenya you still have time to get back to your best form! Don't give up!

I'm also so proud if her. Despite very hard two months she came back so strong and she is a real fighter for me! Congrats with another medal , even if it's silver it will only motivate her to work more. I'm really happy that she seems to be ready for the Oly games.

It's a shame that PCS with today's inflation just does not matter. Skaters like Medvedeva really stand no chance because of the hard cap on PCS where she is now only able to realistically only earn 2-3 points of advantage when it should realistically be at least 3 to 4 times as much. The issue here was also that Kostner got 75 PCS for that horrible skate, so they really had to score Zagitova higher than her.

That was an exciting competition to watch, wasn't it? Evgenia did great. I think also she needs Alina (a competitor for gold) in order for her to improve and keep getting better. Winning all the time doesn't help you improve. It's not winning that pushes you to improve, do better, grow as a person, an athlete and a skater. This is good for her, I think, especially with the Olympics being next month. I am sure she will be ready for them. My biggest question from the competition was how Kostner got third over Sotskova? That baffles me.

Evgenia was seriously wounded, but the soul still burns!

Despite for this competition Alina was the best, Evgenia has proved again she's a true warrior. Kudos for her. Come back stronger!

I will never understand how Alina got those PCS. Never in a thousand years. How does one skate the same as a few months before and get 6 points more just like that??

But here is what I have to say of Evgenia - what a fighter, what a lady, what a champion. She took it with so much dignity, with her head held up high, with pride and not with shame. She remains the best, a wobble or two or not, and I am so proud of her and inspired by her.

Bravo, our great Tsarina :cheer2:

There's no relation between pcs and jumps. The only relation mentioned in isu handbook is a skate with a fall should not get 10. Kostner was disastrous but should get higher pcs than Alina. But now isu make sure to score everything else according to tes so when your tes is high you win. Regardless of everything else.

I wonder if Evgenia will attempt to change her layout in the FS to be more competitive against Alina? She would definitely be able to!

And did you hear that arena when Evgenia's scores were announced? Silence and booing. NO ONE COULD BELIEVE IT!

Contrats to Evgenia, she did everything she could, it was a much better skate than I hoped for post injury.

I will always wonder what would’ve happened if Higuchi got the gold like i thought she deserved at china, and Osmond had kept it together and got gold in France, meaning Alina was second at both, and Evgenia wasn’t injured for GPF and won it (we know she could’ve easily beaten Alina’s score on that day), then would the pcs not have skyrocketed for Alina so much since then?

Seems like rusfed don’t care, as long as they’re getting gold and silver medal, who wins it.

The way Evgenia looked getting off the ice, she knew after Alina’s score she was unlikely to pull out a gold here. I hope it’s not the case at olys.

Very sad about the black dress being retired, but I really love this one too, the hair piece is gorgeous!
