Evgenia Medvedeva

To be fair, her jumps at European were not at her best. And as some people have stated before, she should have upgraded her layout last season. Change 3F3T to 3F3Lo, 2A2T2T to 2A2T2Lo and backload the combo. Now it is a bit too late to change it. I still think it is ok if she skates clean at the Olympic but with the current BV it is hard to tell.

Backload won't help even if she planned it at the start, she had 2 months break for injury, had remove the cast like 2 weeks before rusnats, no way she can skate a clean backload program after just 3-4 weeks of training. Thinking about it, how she performed at Euro is already incredible. The reason Alina can pull it off is because she skates it for 2 seasons already and no interruption.

What's the difference between training camp and regular training? Will they have a different instructor or something?

No. Same team as always. All the russian figure skaters will train in Japan in order to avoid acclimation problems and get used to time differences.

That's right -on Jan 27th they are going to Niigata (men and ladies) and the pairs - to Fukuoka.

Also there only 30 minutes per day are given for training at Pyeongchang. For such workaholic as Zhenya it's not acceptible )

that's why ppl said Olympics is a different beast I guess. They're stuck with 3-4 weeks of reduced training.

And I'm guessing, they have their training camp in Japan rather than Korea itself, because Japan has a lot more rinks/facilities, with higher quality etc...
