Evgenia Medvedeva

I can only understand English/French xD

The majority of the talk came after, but from what you can hear, first Angelo explains in general that it goes spin, etc then all the jumps in the 2nd half, with the bonus. Then 3F-3T with tano/rippon and Max comments easy, easy and Angelo that it's a spectacular combination that is followed by a jump from steps, 3Lo, also clean. Max then adds - what an entry, and Angelo adds that the steps are very difficult prior to it. Then says 2A was good and adds it's not her best jump but despite that, she still does it with a tano. Explains the last two spins. Max says her TES is absurd (he means this in a good way, something like so insane!). Adds this is a performance with no mistakes, best out of all. Then it cuts off and we don't get to hear the slow mo and result talk.

French I guess, if we're lucky, for the individual like before, fingers crossed.

Thanks

Her 1st spin traveled a bit and stsq looks a bit shaky, same with axel. If she fixs that then we'll see a higher score at actual event

P/S: from her interview, she said she was nervous , surely mistakes came from that, but now she's got her 1st Olympic experience, I'm confident that she'll go with a better mindset for next events :agree:

Good point, also think that first spin and stsq wasn't that great due to her being nervous and it's totally normal. However, she once again managed to control her nerves and focus on elements! Last two spins were great and centred, combo and loop were very good imo.

After watching from different angles I even think her 2A wasn't that bad, needs more work but I can see improvements. Still not that good as she did it last world' SP, she also managed to pull out a good extension on landing.

All in all, I am so impressed with her again! Tsarina indeed!
Praying for her gold in individuals! :points:

I saw her 2As on a recent practice vid, it's as fine as ever, so it's just nerves I guess.

This is still alive, download if you want because who knows how long, it's Yulia's commentary.

Got it. I will translate some of Yulya's comments later and publish them somewhere, probably on torrents.

Telesport broadcasts in a perfect quality, in 1080p@60fps, but I was too late to hack it and record Zhenya's SP properly, without gaps and other glitches. Now that I figured it out, we'll have Zehnya's skatings in the best quality in the future.

Here is that glitchy SP recording on torrents: https://www.dropbox.com/s/27yf7vfrb3r2pcw/medvedeva-telesport-sample.torrent
Please anyone, try to download it, I want to check sharing files through bittorrent.
Update: OK, it doesn't seem to work this way, I will probably use rutracker.org.

Downloaded it, while waiting, can you make a summary of her commentary pls? Thanks:love:

I think it will also help that not only is she back to skating like her old self, but the judges are still ready to reward her good skating. Hopefully both of these things will help settle those nerves for the individual events.

Really if she can pull out clean performances in what I consider to be a really weak ladies' field, she should win. I have no problem whatsoever with that. I will say that I found her interpretation yesterday to be vastly better than usual. I guess a combination of living her dream and having a fear of being beaten by her training-mate again is doing her wonders.

Only Alina's TES in her FS can throw a wrench into her plan. We'll find out today.

Her interpretation and presentation has improved, yeah. I hope judges see that too and not go banana with Alina's pcs.

If judges go banana with Alina pcs like in euro it'd be a big problem *sigh*, if not then Zhenya stakes clean, she still wins.

I hope so. But judges seem to love drama, too many controversies in Olympics history.
