Really dramatic Russian commentator sounds like she’s having a near emotional breakdown on air over Zhenya’s FS.

Wait really?! That's her voice? Wow, I knew of her as an important figure/coach in skating but I didn't know of her voice. I think I did watch an old video though, where she was yelling at Shizuka or something so maybe I didn't remember clearly. She is so dramatic and emotional! So many feelings at the end of the program... :sad21:

E: you know, I was raised (coached) in that way, to sensibly look at the situation, to analyse what was wrong, what could I do better, that's why I skated today without feeling the pressure. My goal was to be satisfied with my skate and I just did it.

With Telesport commentary...Yulia doesn't really talk. Did the other commentator get shocked by the results? Yulia says...something and then he just goes..."uhhhhhhhhhhhh." Me too, dude. That's my reaction too...

TBH TAT is like that about everyone and she's pretty awful about it. She used to go on and on about how Radionova was amazing (and she is) and how Zhenya isn't on her level and should not be beating her (even though she deserved to). And then now she's going the same with Zhenya and Alina, acting like the didn't previously show her bias against Zhenya. For someone with her position she should be supportive and not really show bias, or at least not say that one does not deserve to win, but instead she just jumps on a bandwagon for the next great skater in Russia everytime. It's very off-putting, unprofessional, and disingenuous.

but at first she seemed more convinced with Alina, that's why I mentioned it. In the Russian Nationals last year she said that Alina was a bomb and could be the next Olympic champion. Then in the Europeans she already seemed to be more on the side of Evgenia, saying that Alina was a bomb, but Evgenia was a star. I think she only saw Evgenia's tenacity and considers her the ideal champion, who grew up and developed. I don't know ... I think if she puts herself on the side of the winner, then she would be applauding Zagitova and saying that Evgenia was never real
. But she is there, crying and really moved by Karenina.

Yeah I do remember her liking Elena very much back then
, and her hype about konstantinova at juniors was a bit too much as well . I always have mixed feelings about her but Zhenya needs support, so...

Omg when she said Konstantinova should have won junior nationals over Sash and Alena..... And when she said Gubanova was not a swan but a duck, that's when I knew she was nuts.

I see Zhenya a little tired today at EX.I'm worried
Why be worried? She’s just had a massive mentally and physically difficult day yesterday, with likely little sleep. I think she gave a beautiful performance today, and should be so proud of her efforts in Pyeongchang the last two weeks.

Yeah but after SP she said Alina was a star. Although I do agree she does seem to like Alina more now than she did Zhenya at the beginning But she doesn't always go with the winner, actually she goes for the previous winner and against current winner, and then after few competitions, she will go with winner and act like she never said anything against them before. Idk give it a year, then she'll be all Alina is the best and no one deserves to beat her. Then the year after she'll hop on the next hopefully Sasha or Alena and forget completely that she preferred Konstantinova over them be a LONG shot. As you can tell, I REALLY don't like her personality.
