I think all she means is that bc Zhenya is usually number one it was strange for Alina to find herself in front of her. I don't see any malice to her comments + we know they are friends. If anything, it means that she sees Zhenya as a champion and it felt weird for her to beat her.

She shouldn't say she hasn't seen Zhenya when she hasn't seen her? All the thing you listed were immediately after the OG. Alina has been training for at least 2 weeks with no Zhenya at the rink. Well, first Alina was sick, so she slept during the whole flight. Second, the interviews they did was always or with Eteri and they didn’t even sit together that one with Eteri, and the others interviews was with Putin, so all the interviews was very formal, it’s not like they’re going to start a convo when Putin is talking about something. Gala?!? Really?! They’re there to perform their programs, and Evgenia was basically in her world, she didn’t even showed that she was having fun, she was kinda sad in that day. And during the practices, its not like they had much time to discuss anything there. People, more like some “i don’t have nothing to do in my life other than create drama” likes to see what they want to see.

Alina didn’t said anything bad about Zhenya, and I understand her feelings, she looks up to her, too much, it’s a weird feeling indeed.

I think we should leave both of them alone! Honestly, I think lots of people already created too much drama for no reason at all. They’re young girls, and humans, so let’s stop this!!

Alina said that Zhenya has not been at the rink where they train and she said nothing bad about Evgenia just that it's a little awkward for her to be in front of her now and she finds it strange to look at Evgenia when she's ahead of her. Your post makes complete sense. Alina said nothing to cause problems. Yes they are Rivals but you know Alina respects and revere's Evgenia so when she's been ahead of her it probably feels awkward and uncomfortable for her to communicate to Evgenia because Evgenia has been the queen for over 2 years. We know they are friends and Ailna has said they talk about everything. Now they are both very great skaters and sportsman for Russia it would be understandable if they have more of a rivalry than a friendship from here on out. If that happens it's Sports and life and it's not a big deal. They are both great girls and great skaters but to me Medvedeva is still the leader and Zagitova knows that and I don't think it bothers her.

On a side note how long will both of these great girls keep working with the same great coach? I can't see it lasting through 2022 but it's possible. I hope Evgenia comes back strong for the next season. She was so unlucky with her injury last year.

We all know that Zhenya is an unbelievable skater and an unbelievable leader and an unbelievable role model for the younger Russian girls. She has been a great role model and friend with Zagitova that is undeniable. The question I have is will Alina do the same for Sasha that Evgenia did for her? I hope so. I expect so.

I always thought that Tass.ru is like reuters and they care about credibility at least when they qoute people. post-truth world is funny and surprising.

Bad news or maybe good :rofl2: yesterday Zhenya was on the list people who attend tomorrow's confernce(russian figure skating federation), today she is not. I don't trust Russians anymore. :disapp:

Russian fed should light a candle for Zhenia to recover as quickly as possible. They reallly need her. I mean REALLLY.
This saddens me a bit as they boost Alina too much during the time Zhenia was injured, thus put all the pressure on Alina. Poor bb girl could not suffered such crazy expectation. Russian fed could have both OGM and WC if it's Zhenia who won OGM and Alina going into WC with less pressure of an OGM.

I love that nose too, pls don't feel bad about it . She isn't very tall so not really thin comparing to her weight, she's small . I'm about the same BMI and I'm not on diet

43 kg is only 94.7 lb I thought that's what Zagitova weighs. I have to believe Medvedeva weighs more than Alina. If these two great girls only weigh 94 lb what could the feathery Sasha and Alena weigh? 84 lbs? I wouldn't want to say evgenia as much weight because it might affect your performance but wouldn't adding five pounds be okay for her?
