Absolutely not! Armenians aren't semitic like Arabs or Nubians or Jews, they are indo-europeans just like Slavs, Germanic etc. Armenia as a todays country lies in the southern Causasus, north-east from Turkey. They have long history of sovereignty, but during medieval times they were several times conquered by Arabs and Turks, yet they preserved their ortodox confession and their own culture. During 19th century part of Armenia was conquered by tsarist Russia, but in the part which was still ruled by Osman empire there was a lot of oppression and even genocide later. When Soviet union was created, there was uprising in turkish Armenia and coutry became part of SU (there were even many prominent members of Communist party in Soviet Union coming from Armenia). When SU fell apart, Armenia declared independence, but among other post-soviet countries this country belongs among the tightest allies of Russia.
BTW famous soviet aircraft designer Artyon Mikoyan was Armenian.
Sorry to all for this brief history lesson (its my hobby)![]()
If there ever was a biblical movie I imagine Zhenya starring in it. She has that sort of semitic beauty look even though she may have no relation to that part of the universeShe looks quite Middle Eastern and as you say it was at a time conquered by Arabs and Turks which may mean Evgenia inherited some Middle Eastern blood way back. At first I thought Zhenya was Iranian or something.
