The first part makes sense, with it taking some time for the scores to reflect the performances, but the rest just seems bizarre. When Zhenya reset her world record in the team event SP, that should have set things right, and the girls should have skated with clean slates, on even ground, in the singles event, but then, Alina got that huge PCS on her Black Swan routine, which was great, but not as artistically-pleasing (to me) as Zhenya's Clinical Death. When Zhenya reset her record again, she should have essentially won barring a screw up in the FS, but I'm probably preaching to the choir here.
Is skating just pretty much rigged? I know that a pair got their gold taken away in Salt Lake City because of some sort of corruption scandal, and this isn't the first time that I thought the silver medalist was better (Kwan vs Lipinsky, Kim vs Sotnikova). :con3:
