I've been lurking in this thread and I want to say one thing. If both Zhenya and Eteri denied coach change rumors then it is false and final. Why are some people still on about false rumors?

Oh, I wasn't trying to prove/disprove anything with the video. Am just curious why Eteri made Zhenya see that guy specially. Just curious to the insights of the relationships really, and wanted to see if anyone here had an insider sense.

I read some comments here that Zhenya "fell out of favour" with Rusfed.

I see from the Olympics video (link below) - at 0:19, Eteri goes over specially to pull Zhenya and pushed her into the arms of this man (looks like the guy from the doc?). They seem to have a warm relationship. On the other hand, there seem no "push" for Alina to specially to see him. Any insight as to what was going on?

I saw something similar for Alina at Europeans after the winning interview )). Anyway, I don't think it means something. Russian Fed wanted medals, and a hug wouldn't change much anything.

In Zhenya's interview with Yagudin right after returning home, she said something about the Olympics teaching her not to rely on someone else's mistakes in order to win. I think that probably she and Eteri both expected Alina to choke at some point like she did later at worlds, but bless her heart, the kid nailed it like a boss. I'd much rather that she had shined at World and taken silver in the Olympics, but the kid didn't ask me for my preferences before taking the ice. :noshake:

Alina is not in a good condition heading to Worlds championship,evgenia said that alina was sick after olympics that she slept the whole flight back to moscow,but i think if evgenia had competed at world she have won it imo alina should have skip the Worlds you can feel that she was exhausted just watching her on the first part of the program.

Yeah, she really looked tired. They both looked beat at that exhibition they did upon arriving home, the one where they both fell, and Polina Gagarina sang Kukushka live while Zhenya skated. I think Alina was probably over the sickness by Worlds, though. She filmed Zhenya tearing the scarf off of her tracksuit, so it's not like she was dying on the flight or anything. It still couldn't have helped though, being sick and all.

No, if she was unfairly treated they will not give her a program that would beat evgenia in the future. Yeah i know that this is evgenia's fanfest but not everyone here hated alina. I just think that eteri should have consider alina's health during Worlds because its physically demanding that after olympics you have not regain your form and you have to compete again same thing with carolina they're both exhausted on the FS. I also think evgenia skipping the Worlds comp. affect alina because all the pressure and expectation was on her and that makes me sad.

It’s hard to sense it with Zhenya because she seems so cheerful all the time, but behind that smile is a girl with a big heart and bigger balls than most guys.
