Evgenia Medvedeva

Yes and that woman has written out some horrible information which was wrong before so... do not trust everything she says.
I don't trust everything she says. Have never been the type to unquestioningly trust everything that anyone says. My attitude is almost always to just wait and see if something turns out to be true, or not. And even if Vaitsekhovskaya has written things that have not turned out to be true, many times she has also been right or at least partially right.
People should be afraid that cheap reporter will twist her words.
To call her cheap is an exaggeraton given her knowledge about figure skating as a sport and also the fact that practically all of her interviews with figure skaters have been great. An interview is something else than a blog post. I have not seen any evidence of her twisting someone's words in an interview. As I said, all her interviews have been interesting, but not anything that could be called really scandalous. And even if some skaters, coaches etc. have said some very direct and slightly controversial things in her interviews, it is not proof of her twisting their words, for it is simply the Russian way in most cases - as we can also see/read in interviews by other journalists/reporters.

It is obvious that Vaitsekhovskaya has written something uncomplimentary about one of your favorites that probably turned out not to be true and you have become somewhat bitter towards her.

I seem to have missed something. What does this woman say that makes her so bad ?? Or why is everybody so afraid of Zhenya doing an interview with her?

Some are saying that she's a bad journalist who is likely to twist Zhenya's words. But others are saying she's actually a good journalist.
I guess we just have to wait and see. I think whatever happens, some people will try to twist her words anyway...

I tjink the Russian fed has something to gain from sending one of their top skaters to Canada cause it might help with international relationships with countries, as well as Zhenya is such a great person so it might shed some positive light of how other perceive that country

I agree with this. Also Zhenya has said before that she wants to become a coach. Combining her experiences with Eteri and what she is going to learn from Orser's methods might help her become a successful coach and, as a result, benefit many russian skaters.

She has arrived, what emotion! What a nice gesture of Jason!he received her with much love . I love that the whole atmosphere is so friendly.
I've been updating instagram all the time in case I see a new photo, but maybe Zhenya has a lot to do. The visa, the paperwork, the new home, the transfer of her things, god, must be chaotic.

---
I'm not scared at all with the season, since it's perfect for Zhenya to adapt to the new training and the new system. The 2019/2020 season will be much more dangerous, but this one is very good. I'm not underestimating anyone, but I think Zhenya will not feel so much stress or anxiety about being "number one at all costs". The Nationals will be the most difficult competition, because Kostornaia competes there and also, she will find herself in an uncomfortable situation having Eteri and the russian audience there. . I have a lot of faith in the constancy of Zhenya, and especially in her mentality and the maturity she has acquired. She has gone through many situations that could have ended in disaster, but she keeps it under control, always delivers.

So the interview was announced to be on Monday. Vayzehovzkaya shared a piece from it.
- Zhenya, did you even have time to find the apartment?
- Oh sure. We have chosen online. How can I fly to an foreign country without place to live?
- So at the airport the owner will wait with keys?
- No, this would Jason Brown. He will meet us with my mother and take us to our new home. And from the 18th of June I already have a detailed training plan ...

- Do you always like those programs that you had to perform on ice?
- I insanely loved the very first adult program, where I play a deaf girl. I really like Karenina. But the one with which I have won the second Worlds, at first I did not like at all. I fully "tasted" it just at the end of season. I did it, set a world record and I liked it because it helped to reach the goal. As for "Karenina" as they say, I go crazy. Especially after these January stars where only my dress was beautiful ...

Well, i don't like her second program a lot (is beautiful but you know...) happy we have the same opinion 😝
This interview seems big get ready for tomorrow folks!

That was a cute and witty way to say she arrived! See she’ll do great with her English!

The reality is that this journalist very bitterly dislikes Eteri Tutberidze. I'm not sure if that's why people are afraid of Zhenya being interviewed by her but that's probably the most notable thing about her figure skating-wise. The other thing is that there are rumors about her being easy to bribe into making negative articles about whoever. If I have to think about it logically, I'd say that what would cause the most concern with doing an interview with her would be that she'd be likely to make Zhenya sound as anti-Eteri as she could twist it, which could make Zhenya look bad. That's the first thing that comes to mind for me.

Good to know that I have a similar opinion on her programs. I really loved her first senior FS, really disliked her second senior FS and really liked her third senior FS. And indeed preferred Anna Karenina FS over Leftovers FS quite a bit.

On the topic of her wanting to train on the 18th already, wow! I wasn't quite expecting that. I thought she'd prepare to take a couple of days off due to jet lag. Hopefully it'll work out alright for her!

I'm excited to see what the future holds for her. I think it is very courageous of her to make such a change.

Google translate is dumb but it looks good. Nothing scandalous as some thought. I’m waiting for Russian’s translators though...
Agreed. I'm impressed. It's overall a nice, insightful interview. Good to see. She also seems to have a realistic attitude. Hopefully she'll be able to find a good balance that works for her.
